Re: Source for Skid Wheels
So did the new mounting line up to existing bolt holes so you didn’t have to drill new holes?

Source for Skid Wheels
FYI, I purchased Ultra 5" Swivel Skid Wheels from State Trailers in Phoenix for my BF. Was able to remove the wheels from this new set and install them into my existing mounts on the BF. $200 but I couldn't find any other source! Ultra-Fab Products https://www.carid.com/search/skid+wheels/code-...

Re: How many nights did you spend in your Born Free in 2014
Once a month on average - I use it as a temporary home while doing odd jobs at an orphanage in Sonoyta, Mexico (across the border from Lukeville, Az). It is a great size for parking on the street outside the orphanage and its compartments hold all my tools/supplies - have even hauled a door leaning ...

Re: Guage no work, how do I know when GREY tank is full?
I always dumped some ice in the black tank thru the toilet to clean my sensors in my 5th whl but not sure how you could do that with the gray tank?

Re: Do Air Shocks Lose Air?
Good Idea Ben - will do that as just a maint item to insure they are not leaking at the valve stems.

Re: Do Air Shocks Lose Air?
yes, Bill - air bags - so are these normal Ford items that they can address or are they a BF add-on?

Do Air Shocks Lose Air?
My first vehicle with air shocks - if I don't use my BF for thirty days, I have to add air to both rear shocks - is this normal? BTW, I run about 55, usually down to twenty after 30 days.....

Havasu travel
shezonit,
That would be my wife and I in a 2005 BF 27' RSB. We spent 3 days at the Island RV Resort in havasu - had a great time! We live in Phoneix and take many shorter trips from our base there.
cheers, lee

Decals a make or break decision?
I am amazed at the number of people who responds to the new design with a response that 'they would not buy a new unit because of it'. BF makes one of the best coaches in this market segment and they would give up that for an inferior coach in many other areas just because they didn't like the outsi...

Fill the Lion's Belly
Anyone notice that the gas filler door is in the 'belly of the lion'? Design is growing on me everytime I see it. Observation - if you passed one on the other side of an interstate highway - you would know it was a BF. That would make it distinctive...... As someone who had to fix multiple decals on...

Need Parts for Carefree Awning
BF Owners,
I am missing both o-rings in the tractioner's on our awning. Does anyone have a locally available substitute for these please?
Symptom is that awning will not move away from coach on opening - you must 'help' it a bit.

Re: Used Born Free Advice
The ride of the E450 Ford's rear axle is a negative to me. My coach has since day one had a slamming and jarring effect when crossing almost any bump. I did not know this problem existed, until after I bought my Born Free. Sam, I also noticed this in my 26RSB 2005 the past few weeks on a 2000 mile ...
