Re: Dometic refrigerator not cooling.
Dave I tried every configuration to get that fridge to cool. I found the baffle either didn't allow enough air flow or was inconsequential so removed it. It is a piece of luan 5 1/2" x 23" with cutout of 1" x 2 1/4" on one long side and opposite on the same side another 4 1/2&quo...

Re: Anyone seen a 4x4 Born Free like this pic?
The problem with using a track bar with a leaf spring suspension is the leaf springs operate in a linear motion, the track bar is radial. If there is any movement in the suspension at all they will bind, or tear something apart. I have never seen OEM use or sell a track bar for that application. Not...

Re: Anyone seen a 4x4 Born Free like this pic?
Looked at the ad. I would be curious to what he was referring to using the term track bar. Track bars are not used on leaf spring suspensions as they don't work together well, they are used for 3-link type coil spring suspensions to locate the rear left/right. They also are not used on I beam front ...

Re: Size of cab over side windows?
Hi Dave The windows would be approx 1' x 2'. The pullout table in the pictures I sent you is 32" lengthwise with the chassis and extends 24.5" into the aisle. This top is on tracks and pulls out to allow another leaf to be inserted between it and the countertop and is 19.5". Both tops...

Re: Selling our BF
It's all perception. I find when selling my stuff I usually price it too low, people don't feel there is value in it and so dismiss it as not having value and move on. And if you price it low they still feel they have to knock you down on price a little, so price that into the equation. People are a...

Re: BF 2016 Coach Entry Door Lock troubleshooting
I don't have the combo style lock but did replace hinges on the door assy. My striker has a spacer to move it away from the jam and there can be quite a bit of adjustment vertical/horizontal. After adjustment my door operates better it seems. I used a laser level and shot a horizontal beam across th...

I have the same ones on mine. In passing a while back I looked for something similar and couldn't find anything. They are pretty nice.

Re: roof and side wall construction question
That's quite the project to put one of those together. Not like an assy line, each assembler needs to have knowledge of more then one operation. I understand when I was shopping insurance, why full coverage was $1k+, whereas liability was $67. The way repair works, find who you think can do a good j...

Re: Compressor Fridge
You have to be careful with the choice, looks like the Danfoss compressor has less draw then some of the others.
With AGM batteries and solar becoming more the norm, I would expect the compressor fridges to become more common.

Good idea, hadn’t thought to look at current stock. Was looking at other high end builds and haven’t located any yet. Might be an after market thing.

If someone could make a lightweight, quality 24' or less Class C, get away from the make it look like a house inside and make it more utilitarian, I think they'd have something.

Re: Wintertime - 2002 RB 24 foot
I've had a Schumacher brand that I've had for years. I went down to pick up another and it looks the same but is lighter, the older one was significantly heavier. Both made in china as all are I suspect. Pick those up for $20 and the old one was a good maintainer, see if the newer ones are. MarkB U...
