Re: Using shore power to charge house batteries during stora
The Firefly electrical system in the newer coaches includes an Outback inverter/charger. This system is different from the older coaches and perhaps has more capabilities than the old style. I was told at the BF factory not to touch the settings on the control panel and leave it to a technician. If ...

Re: Using shore power to charge house batteries during stora
My storage facility does not have any electrical provisions. I have the outback inverter/charger and plug into a 15 amp service at home when getting ready to leave on a trip. The refrigerator on the electricity setting does get cold over a 12 to 24 hour period depending upon the outside temperature....

Travel Advice please for MO and OK
Looking for some travel advice for our summer trip. We are leaving the National Rally in Amana this summer and then traveling the section of Historic Rt. 66 from St Louis to Oklahoma City. Our first question is it safe and/or prudent to travel through St Louis with a Coach and toad? Are there any ar...

Re: Electric Privacy Shade
Your coach probably has the same shades as mine. They are from Auto-Motion Shade Inc http://www.automotionshade.com. Nearest dealer to you according to their website would be Brad and Hall in Elkhart, IN. http://www.braddandhall.com. Good luck. If mine ever go out I think I would do as Montir did an...

Re: No power to outlets when connected to shore power
My 2015 Splendor (E450 Chassis) has the outback inverter mounted behind the rear axle on the drivers side, as I recall. Haven't seen it since I picked up the coach at the factory. Not sure where it is mounted on the F550 chassis.

Re: Speed vs tires
Vlamgat has a point about those high speed highways out west. The vehicles whizzing past can be very disturbing but frankly I don't feel very comfortable driving a 27' Born Free at 70 mph let alone 80. 65 is my max and I usually keep it at 60. I really don't think there is any large vehicle that is ...

Re: foggy windows, 2011, 27RSB
Not usually necessary to replace the windows. There are companies that repair your existing windows. In Florida there is a company called Suncoast Deigners Inc. in Hudson, FL that specializes in this. There are others but friends of mine have used Suncoast and spoke well of them. Here is the URL for...

My wife swears by FOLEX Carpet Cleaner. Available at Home Depot, Lowes etc. Uses it on carpet and upholstery. Used to clean our 2002 coaches wall and ceiling all the time.

2019 FMCA SEA LAKELAND RALLY
Just a reminder. You have until January 15 to get an early bird registration for the 2019 FMCA SEA Rally and receive a $10 discount. You can get an additional $10 discount by mailing in a check to register. It is a good idea to do that now so your snail mail can reach FMCA in time. This rally is sch...

Re: Replacing running lights on 2002 26' Rear bed.....
Two things I did not like about that video showing how to replace a marker light. He used Eterna Bond Tape and silicone sealer to mount the new light. Both products are extremely hard to remove if he should have any future problems with the light. I have always used the putty tape for mounting stuff...

It included Cherry wood cabinets and partial wood floors, Ultra leather chairs and sofas, solid surface counters and sinks and brass fixtures. Makes for an attractive interior. The solid cherry wood floors tend to get scrat...
