Re: Front Window Leak

I know it has been awhile since I posted on this thread. I finally sealed the window. I was going to do it myself but life got in the way and I never got around to doing it. It was in the shop for inspection and they said they could do it for about $200. 2 1/2 hours labor and 2 tubes of caulk. $230....

Re: Winter Camping at French Creek State Park in PA

For me it isn't worth it to insulate the tanks. I do weekend camping so I don't need the shower and I can limit my dirty dishes and wash them the old camping way in some wash basins (or use paper plates and bring the pots home). If I want to shower I'll use the bath house and that's where I see a ma...

Re: Winter Camping at French Creek State Park in PA

No, the tanks are not insulated. I had the water system winterized and I just used the bath house right across from my campsite.

Re: Insurance

I have my isnurance through State Farm. $250 for full coverage for the entire year. I'm sure with how old it is if I ever report anything they will consider it totaled and hand me a check. Steve-double check on the towing. I had AAA roadside assistance ($50 I think) for my personal vehicles and when...

Re: Small Appliances ?

I just thought of something last night as I was preparing to go camping this weekend. I was putting away the dishes in the house and saw the crock pot in the cabinet and thought to myself....I'm going to need it for the Pot Luck this weekend. I use it while camping so often that I think I am just go...

Re: Small Appliances ?

Are you Camping or RVing? I have a percolator coffee pot that goes on top of the stove. I have an electric toaster (used twice in 2 years) in my BF only because the previous owner left it there and the PO before him left it in there as well. One of the other guys I camp with has a battery operated b...

Re: Born Frees on Dodge RAM 5500 Chassis?

I have to ask......why is it that you rarely see RV's or Box Trucks built on Dodge Chassis? They seem to be primarily build on Ford or Chevy Chassis. When it comes time to get a new RV I am going to look into getting a Dodge 1500 pickup with the 6cyl Diesel and tow a TT. 25mpg!!!!! Towing will drop ...

Great American Backyard Campout

http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/q752/CamperDude/GABC2014_189x200_zpsa746f911.png I forgot to post this last week. The Great American Backyard Campout was this past weekend. Who took some kids camping this past weekend? Either at a campground or in their backyard? What was your/their experience?...

I have towed my 4x8 utility trailer behind me. If they ain't honking, pointing, and yelling at you as they pass, it's all good :D I had one of those bubble like things in my back window that I liked but it got cloudy so it became useless and I took it off. I was thinking about putting those sticks w...

Wow this took off....cool :) Ray - 2 months would be a bit long for me. I like your theory though....similar to wearing a T-shirt for 4 days. You can wear it Normal/Backwards/Inside out frontwards/Inside out backwards. Dallas - Who stunk up the sheets? You or the Dog :P Cujo - I like your timeline. ...

Once a week = 7 nights. What if those 7 nights were not consecutive?? Would you change them after 7 nights or every trip?

How often do you change your RV bed sheets?

How long do you leave the sheets on your RV bed? At home we typically change the sheets every 2 weeks, that's 14 nights. I don't travel and spend weeks in my RV, I camp with it on the weekend. A weekend camping trip is only 2 nights. How many camping trips can I do before I should change my camping ...

My generator doesn't work so I just run the cab AC.....when it works. It crapped out on me last year and I had to recharge it. Hope it holds for this summer.
