Re: LED upgrade
Curt's going to check it out. Did you retrofit the reading lights or get new? We're on our way home from Colorado so I was reading to Curt. BTW our son lives in New Hope..

Re: LED upgrade
We'd like to do that as well but the cost is what's stopping us right now. Did you find a good deal on the lights?

Re: colorado Bound
Well, I think I cursed us. We got into Denver and our transmission blew to the tune of $4000. We have been camping at the transmission shop. They are going to start tearing it apart tomorrow (Wednesday) so we have to be out of here in the morning. Not sure where we will land with 2 dogs. The transmi...

Re: Smart Tile Video
Hi Gail,
Our walls were smooth. I suppose it would depend how deep your texture is. I hope you can figure out a way to install them, they look wonderful.
Good luck..

colorado Bound
We're in Nebraska with 90 degree days plus humidity. Our girl is buzzing down the road like a champ. The air is keeping us very comfortable. Stopped at Blue Bunny Icecream in Lemars Iowa so our freezer has good icecream. Going to be in the mountains tomorrow night so should be cooler. Have yet to se...

We're from Iowa and I've never been to the state fair. Gotta get Curt retired so we can take the time and go.. His job is now getting in the way of fun...

Re: Homecoming Rally
To me the $89 pp isn't that big of a deal considering how much it's costing the company to have the rally. I really appreciate all the time and effort that goes into having such a large event. It's an event we look forward to every year and I'd hate to think that they would cancel it because it cost...

Re: Noisy brakes
Hi all, Well the squeaking stopped after we deglazed the brakes!! Thank you so much for suggesting to do that. From here on in we will make sure we do that every once in a while. Big lesson learned ! This is why this forum is so valuable. When it comes to our BF this is the go to place.. There is ma...

Re: Noisy brakes
Thank you so much for your help. I think we'll take it out and brake kind of hard and see if that resolves the issue. If not Curt's going to be busy before we go. He does all of our brakes and brake shoes on our vehicles. These might be a whole different deal so not sure if he'll tackle these but I'...

Noisy brakes
Our BF has developed a noisy squeal/whistle when you apply the brakes at low speed. It seems to vary with the amount of pressure on the brakes and goes away when you press harder on the brakes. It is not a scraping or metal on metal sound but a high pitched whistle sound. Has anyone run into this be...

Re: Microwave Burn
That's a great idea. Cheaper than replacing it. It's in excellent condition so I hate to change it out but I hate to get burned. I know at my age I'm not going to get any taller in fact I think I'm losing height as we speak so the oven mitt is a great solution . I'm not sure why I didn't think of th...

Microwave Burn
I keep burning the underside of my forearm on the front metal edge on the inside of the microwave. It gets extremely hot when the microwave is running and when I reach to get the dish out it burns my arm. I assume it's happening because I have to reach up. Has anyone else had this painful problem? T...

Re: Seeking Guidance: Range Light to dim
That was our problem as well so Curt put 2 LED tap lights facing down at the burners and they work really well. If we're using one burner we tap one on. They come with double stick tape on the back and he put them inside the vent hood. Easy and cheap remedy. We got them at Memards.

Re: Homecoming Rally
We're from Iowa as well and I was just putting it out there. Electric is going to be important that time of year so the air can be used. How many outlets are at the BF factory?

Re: Homecoming Rally
I called Born Free and asked if they were going to reserve some spots for camping at all the camp grounds. My concern is it's during summer break for kids and I'm concerned that we would not be able to get camping spots. No one takes reservations. They said they would talk about it at the next meeting.
