I agree but people DO win the lottery! In my opinion it's far better to have a gun
and not need it than to need one and not have it.

Refrigerator Shelving

I was cleaning the reefer yesterday and I noticed that the paint had
chipped off some of the wire shelving especially at the ends of the wires.
Does anyone know of a good paint to touch up these areas?

Thanks, Roger

I tried it briefly. I'm sure it would make an improvement in reception but it would no longer nest between the reefer vent and the AC unit.

Several years ago I wanted to replace the small CRT TV in my BF. I did a bunch of research on 12 volt TVs and they all seemed to be off-brand types with less than stellar reliability. I went the Toshiba TV with inverter route. NOTE: The common cigarette lighter/plug combo leaves a lot to be desired ...

As far as I can tell from my research, the 9007 IS a halogen bulb. There are different manufacturers of this bulb with differing claims about brightness. In general, the brighter the bulb the shorter the life. Do you know how old your bulbs are? The brightness diminishes with time as deposits build ...

Here is one answer to the spare tire problem. It was on my BF when purchased so I don't know who made it. It slides into the existing 2 inch receiver hitch. There is a nut welded to the top of the hitch tube and a large socket head cap screw that can be tightened to keep the tire from wobbling from ...

I have a 24RB like Bill's old one with the fabric covered dinette. I don't like the table arrangement at all! The previous owner had to cobble up a stick to support the end of the table also. I had a small Coachman class C in the early 80s that had a much better arrangement. I'll try to describe it....

I have the same thing in my 24RB. I remember a previous post where the owner tracked it down to condensation. I looked but couldn't find the post.
I'm planning to replace the affected panel and install two vents to allow some air circulation.

I just replaced the transparent roof on my sunporch with a solid foam core roof. Part of the kit was Peel & Seal tape from MFM Building Products Corp. http://www.mfmbp.com/doc/Peel%20&%20Seal%20Brochure%2005-12.pdf The tape I received was 3in wide with a white backing. It looks to be ideal f...

Don't forget that your Born Free is almost 10ft tall!!! Be very careful when pulling into gas stations, going under bridges, etc. Probably not a problem on interstates, but can result in a nasty (and expensive) surprise when on secondary roads.

Have a nice journey home.

Garmin GPS problem

I've just returned from 2 weeks in Germany. As I intended to rent a car in Frankfurt, I treated myself to a new Garmin 2460 and the City Navigator Europe/ Alps + DACH map set on SD Card. My experience with this combination was less than stellar. I spent a lot of time floundering around on back roads...

Did you have to buy the tires or is that just the price you found? Is that for a full set of 6? If you're willing to take the time, and go through the paperwork, often the VAT can be refunded (25% in Norway!).
