Re: Commercial campground guide
We have found rvparkreviews.com pretty reliable, especially in identifying the trailer trash sort of campgrounds.

Re: Microwave Burn
Hi, Jo. I had the same problem in our 2004. I am also short. I bought the longest, best insulated oven mitts that I could find.

Re: Blast from the Past. Pics of a 75.
I'm lovin the whole scene! I had very similar woven wood shades in my house and proudly wore my hip hugger bell bottoms with my twin long braids. Never did orange, though. We did have fun then, but hip huggers for me now would be muffin bottoms. Sigh.

Re: Trundle bed misery
Steve, that is exactly what our trundle couch looks like. The back portion does not lie completely flat but the other 2 pieces do and ours are level. There is a smallish half moon opening in the center of the bottom of the reclined bed where the 2 bottom pieces meet. It is sort of hard to describe. ...

Re: Trundle bed misery
Good point, Dallas. Our bed is probably a 2014 model and may be different. When ours is made into a bed, the head section is slightly angled, which we sort of like, but the lower 2 sections are level with each other. Perhaps there is an adjustment to the lifting mechanism for the bottom section that...

Re: Trundle bed misery
We have the same trundle bed in our RSB and one of us uses it occasionally. A queen sized sleep sack is essential and the one sleeping there sleeps diagonally on the bed to avoid the hole at the bottom, which bugs us. We do not find the bed that uncomfortable except for the hole and the slipperyness...

Re: Heading to Gulf Shores AL
Nancy, you can access the paved trails from several places and leashed dogs are allowed. They are very nice and mostly shaded if it is hot. Check out bringfido.com under Gulf Shores to find a stretch of beach that is dog friendly, a fenced dog park and a map of the state park trails. There is also a...

Re: Heading to Gulf Shores AL
We just got home from a trip that ended in Gulf Shores. We like to stay in Gulf State Park which is huge, has full hookups and very nice paved biking and walking trails. There is also very nice state park beach close by, a large swimming pool, great laundry facility. Ditto to Dallas' suggestion of F...

Re: Alaska question
No northern lights in 4 trips, unfortunately. But, in early summer, some mosquitoes the size of small birds!

Re: Alaska question
Jo, we have been to Alaska in late May and in September and the weather was okay, although in May there is still some snow and it does snow some in late September. The biggest problem is finding open campgrounds, because they tend to open in May and close by mid or the end of September. If the weath...

John CT, our love and best wishes to you and your wonderful family. We will never, ever forget the water ballet skit at the 2014 homecoming. It is so good to hear from you.

Re: Triumph vs Royal Triumph
That listing is not a Royal. The larger holding tanks are on the diesel chassis. The NADA listings are not very helpful or necessarily accurate. Best bet is to call Kim at Born Free with any questions. Nice coach, though!

Re: Satellite question
If you are not familiar with satellite tv, you need to know that you will need an account with the provider, either Directv or Dish, whichever you are using, and no matter what sort of satellite dish you have. There may be some pirating work arounds but I do not know about them. We have Directv at h...

Re: Triumph vs Royal Triumph
The "Royal" designation on the models means that the coach is built on the Ford F-550 diesel chassis, which is wider and taller than the standard models, as well as about 3 feet longer because of the longer cab, heavier with a greater carrying capacity and, surprise!, more expensive. We re...

Re: Satellite question
Hi, Jo. The King Dome on our 2014 RSB worked with a Directv standard receiver, which we left in the rv. A Dish receiver may also work but you need to check the King Dome manual. The current standard Directv receiver is model D-12-700 and a Directv HD receiver will not work, even with the new satelli...
