This area of the forum is reserved for special posts by persons having completed a modification to a Born Free coach or have technical information that may be of general interest to other Born Free coach owners of the same type.

Since this new area of the forum is locked, registered members on this forum will need to publish their favorite coach modification or technical library info with appropriate details and associated photos and then submit it to the bfadmin below via E-mail for consideration to be posted in this area of the forum. Your post will be posted under your name to receive proper credit for your work.

So, anyone wishing to post a new topic on these two new forum categories Coach Modifications and Technical Library below should contact the bfadmin at the following E-mail address: bfadmin@bornfreervclub.org or click on the email button below.

The unlocked category below Coach Modification Questions & and Comments can be used by persons who desire to post questions and comments directed towards the author of any locked Coach Modification post below, if they so desire.

Also, it is requested that any photo being submitted to the bfadmin for posting should be no more than 9.0" in width based on the standard resolution of 72 pixels/inch. Please reduce the size of any photo to be posted to meet this width requirement using such programs as Adobe PhotoDeluxe or PhotoShop before posting the photo. For example, a 6" wide by 4" high digital photo that has a resolution of 300 pixels/inch, when posted on the forum, will open up with a width of 24" wide by 16' high causing the complete forum page containing this photo to be very wide necessitating anyone browsing that page to have to scroll excessively to view any content on the page including the posted photo itself.

If you don't have some sort of photo editing software on your computer, I would offer these possibilities that can be used to resize photos. What you want to be able to do is take any .jpg or .jpeg photo and reduce it's resolution to 72 pixels/inch and reduce the size of the photo to be no larger in width than 9.0" when posting that photo on our website.

A) Image Resizer - this free Windows XP add-on software patch is available from this Microsoft website link: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx. Locate the program on the list of programs listed down the right side of this webpage. Download and install it. Thanks to club member Ray Hansen, this program for Windows XP computers is probably the simplest photo resizer program I have found; it is free and simple to use but is it limited to only one function and that is to resize photos
B) Adobe Photoshop - available for older Windows computers
C) Adobe Photo Elements 6 for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista computers
D) Microsoft Picture It - this software for Windows XP and newer computers is offered as a separate program in various newer versions of Microsoft Office and is also offered in a separate program called Microsoft Digital Image 2006
E) Microsoft PictureManager - for Windows computers
F) Adobe PhotoDeluxe - available for earlier Apple Macs running OS 8 & OS 9 software
G) Apple iPhoto - comes standard with Apple Mac computers running OS 10 software. In my opinion this program works but is confusing to use for the simple task of photo resizing
H) JpegSizer Version 5.3

The JpegSizer software program in the Home version only costs $15.00 and you can even try it out free for 15 days. If you only want the capability to resize .jpg and .jpeg digital photos, this software for Windows computers only is cheap and works well. Visit this website for more information on this software: http://www.tangotools.com/jpegsizer/index.htm

Persons needing assistance with photos and/or document attachments should contact the bfadmin for help. Send an email by clicking on the email button below or email: bfadmin@bornfreervclub.org.

NOTE: The forum administrator (bfadmin) may either delete or reformat any excessive width photos to meet the maximum 9.0" width requirement.
