We are new Born Free owners (and new RVers) and had a wonderful time at both rallies. Born Free owners and employees are truly great people. If you haven't been to a rally, go and enjoy! Thanks to everyone who made us feel welcome from the very first minute.

Also frameless windows look nice.
Wonder how those new awnings work?

And yes the kitchen venting does look nice.
Wonder how much work it would be to upgrade mine?

All these look like great options and upgrades.

So, all you 24 RB or 27 RSB owners of 2008 or newer models who are going to order new BF models, let me know.

I am looking to buy a quality used Born Free.

Thanks

Very interesting. The extra nose cone insulation seems excellent idea. The heated floor is fine, so long as there are not big compromises in geometry below. Would prefer heated black and grey tanks.
Cannot understand how HWH straight down jacks would work without big compromise in ground clearance when retracted. Just maybe HWH has a "two stage" jack now? I will be very interested in reports on how ride/handling with the MOR/Ryde rear suspension compares to stock. I have a love-hate relationship with the Dometic 7 foot refrigerator and will be interested to know that the new one is. In past optional spare was on roof so perhaps it is now mounted on rear?
Just musings.

I attended both the Leap'n Lions biannual meeting and the BF homecoming.

A couple of observations

The 27 RSB base price is $124,000 with all the standard features. The slide is $6,350 plus the leveling system $4,650. Oak or Alder are standard cabinetry and hickory, cherry or walnut are options at $1325, 2150 and 2450 respectively. Full body paint is an option at $8500. Heated tanks and dump valves are $525. The list goes on and on.

I would like to know how much the slide and levelers reduce cargo carrying capacity.

I saw problems with fit and finish on the interior cabinetry on the 26RSB. I'll give BF a pass on this as I was told that the last of the coaches in the showroom was only finished 30 minutes before the start of the homecoming.

There are a lot of electronics/electrical items on the new models. Some a bit over the top in my estimation--power window shades for example.

The windows do look good from the outside. However how well they ventilate is yet to be determined. The top 2/3 of each window is stationary and the lower third is a jalousie that cranks outward. Advantages and drawbacks.

Perhaps others who attended would like to add their observations.
