Nearly 147 years ago, two great armies, the Army of Northern Virginia under General Robert E. Lee and the Army of the Potomac under General George G. Meade, converged on the small Pennsylvania town of Gettysburg. Over 165,000 soldiers met on this battlefield, both farm and town. Relive the history of the battle at Gettysburg by viewing the battlefield on a guided bus tour. The next day visit the new visitor center museum with the restored cyclorama. You can also take a shuttle from the visitor center to the Angus cattle farm of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

We will have full hookup sites. This rally is limited to the first 45 people registered.

Itinerary:

Sunday, May 16, 2010
1:00 PM - 4 PM: Arrive at the Gettysburg Campground any time after 1pm
5:00 PM to 5:30 PM: Meet at the Recreation Hall for orientation rally information
5:30 PM to 6:30 PM: Pot luck dinner at Recreation Hall. Wine/soft drinks provided.
7:00 PM: Showing Part 1 of Gettysburg–1993 Movie starring Tom Berenger/Jeff Daniels

Monday, May 17, 2010
8:00 AM to 9:00 AM: Enjoy continental breakfast of coffee, juice, donuts and muffins
10:00 AM: Gettysburg Battlefield Bus Tour. Meet at office to board Bus.
1:00 PM: Free time to visit downtown Gettysburg. There is no evening meal planned for Monday.
7:00 PM: Showing of Part 2 of Gettysburg–1993 Movie starring Tom Berenger/Jeff Daniels

Tuesday, May 18, 2010
8:00 AM to 9:30 AM: Enjoy continental breakfast of coffee, juice, donuts and muffins
10:00 AM to 4:30 PM: Then take in the Visitor’s Center and Eisenhower Farm on your own. RV pool to Gettysburg Battlefield visitor center. Shuttle available to Eisenhower Farm
5:00 PM: Social Hour at Recreation Hall. Wine/soft drinks provided.
6:00 PM: Catered Dinner
7:30 PM: Entertainment (TBD)

8:00 AM to 9:30 AM: Enjoy continental breakfast of coffee, juice, donuts and muffins.
Say your goodbyes and depart by noon. Farewells and a safe trip.
