As many of you know, this Brooksville rally is a bit different than other Leap'n Lions rallies as it is piggybacked onto the FMCA SEA (Southeast Area) rally and leverages all of the activities and entertainment there. By organizing our rally participation as a Leap'n Lions rally enables us to park together at the rally site. Of course, we add a few activities of our own such as the pot luck dinner and our daily afternoon social gathering. The host arranges for a meat to be provided at the pot luck dinner.

The registration for the Brooksville rally is done directly with FMCA. You can download and print out a rally registration form by clicking on the blue Download on the right side of the attachment window located at the bottom of this post. Those registering need to let the rally host know so a participant list can be assembled to let FMCA know how many of us (coaches) need to be accommodated for parking together. This list also enables the host to check that all have arrived at the designated gathering place from which we caravan together to the rally location. You do not have to be an FMCA member to attend this rally.

The Rally will be held as in past years at the Hernando County Airport in Brooksville, FL in conjunction with the FMCA SEA rally. We will meet on Wednesday, January 29 at 12:30 PM at the PUBLIX Supermarket located at 19390 Cortez Blvd. in Brooksville. To get to PUBLIX take I-75 (exit 301) and go west on US-98/SR-50 for 8.1 miles. Turn left on SR-50 (Cortez Blvd.) and go 2.4 miles to Broad (US-41). Go past Broad and turn left into the shopping center on the southwest corner of Cortez and Broad. There is sufficient parking in front of the supermarket for our group. See the attached PUBLIX Meeting Place Travel Aid by clicking on the blue Download button on the right side of the associated attachment window below.

We will leave PUBLIX at 1:00 PM sharp, turn right onto Broad (US-41) and go about 5 miles to the entrance of Hernando County Airport where the rally is being held. There will be an FMCA sign at the rally entrance and there will be FMCA personnel to check us in and guide us to the designated camping sites.

As noted, we caravan in together to park together. Send in your registration to FMCA (General Parking) and join us for this rally which is always entertaining and educational. You MUST be pre-registered to caravan in as a group. The vendor exhibits, entertainment, free ice cream, morning coffee, juice & donuts, all the seminar events, AND our Leap'n Lions campsite activities make this a great annual event. Please be sure to advise the rally host as soon as you have registered with FMCA.

See the October 2013 issue of Family Motor Coaching for a registration form or call FMCA at 1-800-543-3622 to register. Please ensure that you do this before their deadline to be sure you get your credentials by mail before the rally. This may also be done on line from the FMCA rally web page, or a copy of this rally registration form can be downloaded and printed out by clicking on the blue Download button on the right side of the attachment window at the bottom of this post.

There will be a potluck dinner with a meat provided on Wednesday January 29. Bring a dish to share and enjoy that time of fellowship to kick off the rally. There will be a nominal per person charge to cover the cost of dinner meat, buns, paper supplies and wine for the potluck dinner. We will collect this in Brooksville at the rally. Other planned group activities include informal late afternoon get-togethers. Bring an appetizer or snack to share and your own beverage.

Please advise not later than December 29, 2013 if you plan to attend. We need to know so we can arrange for a great camping location at the rally... as we have in past years. Please also take a look our website's Past Rally Recaps to learn more about the Brooksville rally.

NOTES:
1. Rally participation is limited to current members of the Born Free Leap'n Lions RV Club.
2. Please contact the rally hosts directly using either the phone number or e-mail address provided near the top of this post rather than clicking on the blue Image button at the bottom of this post.
