Re: House battery boiling! Emergency

Hi Tim, Sorry for the delay in responding. We have a BornFree 2010 RSK. Our charging system may be different from yours. We leave ours plugged in all the time when we aren’t traveling. It automatically maintains the batteries nicely. The boiling battery had nothing to do with the charging system. Th...

Re: House battery boiling! Emergency

We took a look at the website for our charger to locate the “output mode switch”. Neither of us can see any switch like the manual refers to.
We may call the factory.
My photos are not loading. Will try separately.
Thanks!

Re: House battery boiling! Emergency

Hi Bill, First, the reason we posted this about the battery was the “Master Switch” did NOT stop the battery boiling. It was getting more and more hot. I made the shield out cardboard to put between me & the battery, in case, it blew when I tried to take the cable off! As soon as the cable was o...

Re: House battery boiling! Emergency

Hi Bill & Ed Our two new batteries have been plugged in all this time and are not low on water and show a charge of 12.8. Our model is Progressive Dynamics #PD4045K. I was told the reason it boiled, was the plates had broken and fell against each other. Our master switch did not stop the boiling...

Re: House battery boiling! Emergency

Thank you for info Bill. We are on the road today but will research more when we stop. Not sure what “brown down” is or where to look for that model number 9345. (In the metal boxes under the sink?)

Re: A/C locked up

Update: We found a company nearby that graciously took a look at our generator. They decided to take the carburetor down to clean, after finding there was NO inline filter to the generator. After a simple cleaning and blowing out, the carburetor was reinstalled and ran perfectly! We made our destina...

Re: A/C locked up

We have a full tank of gas and the generator is a Generac. We first thought it was our A/C unit but after we started it again, at the generator, it did not run well. We restarted it again and tried the microwave this time and it ran down again. You may be spot on. We hope it will be a reasonable fix...

A/C locked up

We are running off the generator tonight and turned the A/C on and it only ran a few minutes and it choked the generator down and off. Never had any A/C problems until tonight. Anyone have any knowledge or suggestions?
Appreciate input!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving! Need help with water tank issue!

I tried running the pump to empty the tank. We drained it twice and it appears to not be filling the tank now. But how can I trust that?
Good advice! I don't want to have to turn off water each time but my paranoida level may dictate that method.
Thanks all!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving! Need help with water tank issue!

Do I understand that the valve is inside the pump housing? We just replaced the water pump (Surflo)this past spring. Sounds like we may have a defective valve.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving! Need help with water tank issue!

Thank you so much for the reply. That is only thing that makes sense. At least we caught it in time. One more thing to be grateful for this day. We will try calling Kim after we get back. Hopefully, someone else will read this and be able avoid similar.
Happy Thanksgiving.
