Re: add on room?

Thanks, Reni. This particular one doesn't require drilling, but if we hear enough good things to make it worthwhile, I'll be calling the factory before purchasing.

add on room?

Does anyone have any experience w/ rooms you can add on to the awning such as this one: http://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/products/buena-vista-plus.html ? We hope to try some extended trips and may need a bit more room for 2 adults and 2 dogs. We did quite a few back and forth trips to the Midwest i...

Re: Furnace troubleshooting

Sorry for the delayed answer, but we just picked up the coach today. The circuit board was burned up. Looks like when we run the generator monthly, we should fire up the propane appliances. Expensive lesson!

Re: Furnace troubleshooting

Thanks, guys. The manual and tips are greatly appreciated. I'll let you know what I find, though I'm sure I'll have more questions before all is said and done.

Re: Leak!

I just read a post reminding folks to update the status of resolved issues so others can benefit. When we got to Iowa, we had more leaks. We followed Ben's advice and everything is dry as can be (thanks for the phone consult, too, Ben.) Not sure if we're going to tackle the other side of the coach o...

Furnace troubleshooting

I don't have a manual for the Suburban furnace in our 2005 24RB so not sure how to troubleshoot it. Just discovered that there's no heat when the furnace blower is on. Anyone have any ideas regarding this problem and know how I can get a copy of the furnace manual? It's the only one missing f...

Trim/veneer inside cabinet openings

Just returned from our 2nd journey to the Midwest. This time was less adventurous with only a leak to contend with and a big ding on a compartment door. Thanks to Ben for providing details on a previous post and calling to walk us through the process of repairing the leak. A call to Kim to order a r...

Re: Trip Planner

Here is a post I submitted earlier about the trip planner we use (www.rvtripwizard.com): We just got back to Maryland after a trip to Iowa. I used RV Trip Wizard online to plan, which is a subscription service. We like state and local campgrounds and found some incredible places using this. It lets ...

We like state and local campgrounds and found some incredible places using this. It let me choose our preferred travel miles in a day (actually, you can choose 3 limits wh...

Thanks, everyone. Replaced the water pump and all is well. We were pleasantly surprised to get an appointment next week at the Born Free factory to get the new battery tray. While there, a new converter will be installed, too - thanks to Bill Hemme for the phone consult! Fingers crossed that the tri...

We finally arrived in IA and had time to replace the pump. We have water now, but the pump runs non-stop if we leave it on; trouble shooting continues. New challenge, the coach batteries are not holding a charge and we can't get the tray to come out. This life is great problem solving fun. You may s...

Thx for the quick responses. After de-winterizing we did let the air run out of the lines and water ran fine. Bill, just tried to prime per your post. Didn't work in this situation. Sound like we need a new pump?

Water pump trouble?

So after the assistance of many fellow lions we got our leak fixed and headed to the Midwest. Here we are on day 4 at a site w/o water hookup. No big deal since we have water in the fresh water in the tank, right? Wrong...with pump on we only get a trickle and then nothing. Worked fine at home, ever...
