Re: Fogged up windows

My windows fogged on the 1999 we had, replaced almost all of them. It wasn’t cheap.

Re: Engine lost power and quit

We had almost the same thing happen last year, turned out a mouse got into the air filter and had a huge nest and acorns in there. We did have lights, tho.

Re: Air suspension question for "heavy" loaded coach

I keep them at 55 also, never have a problem with sway.
I also have one that loses air every trip, so I try to fill it every trip we take.

Re: This topic is about garbage

We have the side bed and only 1 chair up front with the sofa. We have a small trash can from Dollar General that's about 2' tall and it fits just fine behind the chair.

Re: How many nights did you spend in your Born Free in 2014

Since we still work, we can only do long weekends. Holiday weekends are the best we get about 4 nights in. Just a guess at 24 nights a year. Mostly in Mo & Illinos State Parks. Took a 2 week trip to Florida in 2013 & loved it! We love the weekends, stay close to relatives & get to spend ...

Sunforce Solar Charger

I just wanted to let everyone know that the cheap end solar panel has kept our Born Free battery charged so far. I found it at Cabella's for around $59. It plugs into the cigarette lighter, I lay the panel in the front window & the battery is charged. Much easier than running the cords to the ba...

Re: Mouse House

Bill, I did throw mothballs under my front deck after my dog was sprayed by a skunk. A few days later, I did smell a dead skunk in the road a few blocks away. So, are the mice staying away because of the peppermint oil? I hope so, because nothing else has worked! I only have one more thing to try, t...

Re: Mouse House

This is my first winter trying it. I plan on checking it weekly. It may not freeze since it's an oil, but I'm not sure.

Mouse House

Good news, after numerous attempts at finding the best mouse deterent I've found it. Peppermint oil, you can buy it at GNC or a health food store. I put a water bottle capful in all compartments and about 3 in the cab itself and all cabinets. It smells great & the mice must really not like it. I...

Re: 2000 26 RSB Switch question

Jo, now it does turn red when it's on, but you could see inside the water heater door if it's got the adaptor, ours had a sticker inside, too.
And it's got a wire attached to the anode rod.
Hope it is, that's all we use it on.

Re: 2000 26 RSB Switch question

Jo, we have a Hott Rod hooked to the water heater & have a second switch. Could that be it? Makes it an electric hot water heater.

I used Resolve carpet cleaner spray on mine and it worked. I'd try a small spot first.

Blue Beacon

Hi All, I have to tell you about our experience at Blue Beacon in Granite City/Pontoon Beach, Illinois. They do have about 6 guys power washing the coach, and for the most part it looks great when they're done, cost is $28. They spray the upper part in front, which I can never get clean. They have a...

Towing Small Utility Trailer

Does anybody tow a small (10'5') utility trailer? If so, is it a problem if you can't see it behind you on the road? We have one, but it won't be visible from inside. We'd like to carry wood & extra items with us that won't fit in the Born Free, it seems like a good idea.
