Because we liked the taste and purity of our domestic water, we have always tried to be ultra conservative with the water tank supply.. That is why we seldom turned on the water heater and used our tea kettle for hot water. The tea kettle in this case is a large Pyrex bowl / measuring cup. The RV sh...

I have a rim and an unused Michelin tire that I bought for my 2004 BFT to carry in my toad. Since I will no longer being using the toad I have no place to carry the spare. Therefore it is for sale . It has never been exposed to the weather and is presently taking up space in the garage. For price, h...

The reason that RVs have the twist - in female plug is that they are an adaptation of the marine cable system where a more secure connection is needed to compensate for the wave action in a marina which could potentially jiggle the plug out of its socket and leave the boat without power for how many...

As an interesting side item about alignment -- my 04 BFT handled beautifully until I noted some scuffing on the front tires. I had the coach re- aligned and there was no more scuffing -- but it no longer handles like it did before. Not bad, just not as good.

The moral to remember is: Never let a tire Jockey near your wheels until you have explained the difference between function and decoration of the lug look-alike's. These wheel covers are unique and not well received by tire jockeys, so do Not turn the job over to a person without supervision. They w...

Jeff: There is a different physical dimension to the various chargers. I opted for the 45 amp deal and had a difficult time finding room for it. The bigger one has different dimensions and would have been a better choice for finding replacement space.

Just remember that inverters put a sizable drain on you house batteries when being used. So don't get caught with dead batteries just before you really need them.

When we got our Direct TV service, the dealer recommended that for RV s the Direct TV birds are higher in the sky and therefore will be more available in case of nearby tree obstruction to the signal.

It looks like it would cause the RV some minor cleaning problems. Just like any other surface embellishment. No problem if you like power-washing.

For many years I have carried a front mounted spare on my pickups, but my use was never very far with a heavy load. It would be different with a BFT carrying a heavy load for long distances, and I have been wondering about sufficient air circulation to cool the engine. I still have a spare front mou...

When the mice got into my Tracker I put it into the barn with the engine running and closed the doors and let the engine idle for 40 minutes. It killed the mice but the odor remained for some time and took several deodorizing things to get the car smelling good again. When I put the born Free away f...
