Re: Inverter not powering 12 volt system

First I jacked up the rig and put some safety stands underneath to give me room to drop the inverter. Next remove the retaining nuts. I cannot recall exactly where they are but none presented a problem. Then remove the front panel which hides the power cables. Then I was able to access the power cab...

Re: Shock absorbers

For other readers of this string, know this: shock settings are a function of valving and internal pressures and not the manufacturer. A particular manufacturer model # may vary the valving and pressures at any time without notice. so you cannot rely on what others have experienced or in fact what y...

Re: Using shore power to charge house batteries during stora

I have the Firefly and Outback install in a 2014 Triumph. I regularly use my 20 amp outlet to maintain charge and support the self protection circuit of the water heater. No issues. Actually I do not believe that Firefly has anything to do with this operation. I had to replace my Outback unit last y...

Re: Pantry slide not latching

One trick I found that works, is to hold down the locking latch while you close the pantry. For some reason one of my pantries will positively lock when I do that but will not if I just slide it closed. The other works the way it was designed.

Re: Sirius XM radio in my Born Free, can I transmit the sign

There may be something out there that once would have been sold by Radio Shack but today if its not BY enabled for broadcast its prohibited by the FCC. You could get your cell phone enabled for XM (more $$) and then plug your cell phone into the AM/FM or get a BT enabled speaker or one of those robo...

Re: Sirius XM radio in my Born Free, can I transmit the sign

Transmit from what to what? Most vehicle entertainment systems do not allow their devices to be networked with others by means of the Bluetooth connection used for phone or reception. So you can listen to your music on your phone for example but you cant send music from your vehicle to your phone or...

Re: Kwikee Step

Several of us have had the same experience. I reckon the problem is generated by our unwillingness to wait for the step to fully extend (motor stops) before putting a foot on the step. This rush to enter/exit puts too much load on the components resulting in transmission fail or motor burn out. You ...

Re: Sync electric door lock with remote?

Just to close this out: You have to trigger the Start sequence of the Key Pad by removing it from the door; remove the power wire;then: Reconnect the power wire then press 1/2 AND 9/0 AND any button on the remote ALL within 5 seconds. The door lock will lock or unlock to signify a successful coding....

Re: Kwikee step question

Its not difficult unless you have to remove the step because its awkward to replace. Good stuff on Youtube. I think these things fail because we insist on standing on the step before the assembly completes its cycle. Its very tempting but we have to be patient.

Sync electric door lock with remote?

Has anyone done this? I had to replace my HDC-008 key pad and despite many attepts following the instructions, the original remote will not sync to the new pad. Is there a trick to it? One of the challenges says that the process must be accomplished within 5 seconds of turning the power "ON&quo...
