Re: Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite - tips and tricks?
We visited that area in May on our first trip to the southwest. My wife writes a detailed blog with photos when we travel which might help in planning your trip. We stayed a week in the Yosemite area, 3 days in Lake Tahoe and drove to Virginia City on our way back east. You can read the blog at http...

Product similar to 303
I have been using a product similar to 303 called ProtectAll on our 2002 RSB since 2005. I am from Florida and have the Born Free parked in front of the garage with no protection from the sun. We are traveling 4 to 5 months each year and I try to put the ProtectAll on every 3 to 4 month. It has a UV...

Goodyear Tires
Gary,
I noticed that you changed tires from Michelin to Goodyear and got a better ride. Specifically what Goodyear brand did you purchase?
Thanks

Flexsteel dinnette chair difficult to swivel
I had that very same thing happen. I used a silicon spray with a long red tip and sprayed the area between the bottom plate and the swivel plate. I could barely move the chair and now it moves freely. The product I used is a silicone spray lubricant by Permatex.
I hope this helps.

Air Condition repaired
I took my Born Free to Dustys in Bartow, Fl. They had some trouble getting the unit to fail however it did cut off a few times. It was diagnosed as a faulty frayed cable that ran from the roof unit to just above the refrigerator down to the thermostat. The technician stated that it was broken and fr...

The duotherm thermostat screen goes blank, but after 15 to 30 minutes it will kick back on line. When the screen is blank, I cannot reactivate the air or change temperature or mode. ...

Console For 2002 E-450 RSB
I have a 2002 26 foot RSB E-450 and would like to replace the front console with the new console. Is that possible? We saw the console on the new 2008 model and liked it but not enough to buy a new rig. Thanks for your help.

Seward, AK
We are now camped in Seward, Ak right next to Resurrection Bay. The town is beautiful and people are friendly. We met Kerry Martin and two other Born Free folks camped in the area. John and Pam and Tom and Helga. Having a great time in AK.

we are in Fairbanks. The last 200 to 300 miles in the Yukon Territory of the Alaskan Hwy were rough. Took a tour to the Artic circle from Fairbanks over the Dalton Hwy which was great(16 hrs) round trip. Also the Museum at the Univ of Alaska(Museum of the North) is a must see especially the Northern...

85 Octane g
We are on the road from Fl to Alaska and have been experiencing some high gas prices. Regular in Colorado is 85 octane. Can we safely use that octane in our 26 foot E-450? PS has anyone received that e-mail from the RV consumer group concerning formaldehyde levels in RV's. I would assume that Born F...

Key Concern
On our way back from a trip to the west coast, we met up with a kayaking club from central FL. We were camped at Adventures Unlimited in Milton, FL. Our neighbor borrowed our cell phone to call a locksmith because he had locked his keys in his Winnebago(32 foot class A). Jim Downing from Born Free i...
