I recently read an article on motor home fire safety that caught my eye. One item in particular seemed to warrant immediate attention, so I went out to my 2004 26RSB Born Free to check the emergency exit window which is in the rear of my coach. The concern identified in the article was that the wind...

It seems very clear to me that it would be in the best interests of all club members that a vote on the proposed New Bylaws be postponed until a process is developed for each and every club member to cast a ballot supporting or not supporting these changes. In this age of electronic media and social...

Mary Ann, please have someone check the enclosure/compartment for your batteries. On my coach, the enclosure began to separate. I noticed this when trying to pull the batteries out. The enclosure was reinforced at the factory. Have someone look into the enclosure and check all the seams.

My wife Winnie and I are returning from Prince Edward Island after participating in the PEI Shellfish Festival Rally. As I write this entry, we are camped in Moncton, NB while Hurricane Kyle passes overhead. Winnie and I also attended the Lake Winnipesaukee Rally in New Hampshire. We had a wonderful...

I purchased my Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow equipment from Big Discount RV. Their prices were excellent plus they shipped UPS at no charge. They also carry Blue Ox, Reese and Demco tow bars. Depending where you live, you may even avoid sales tax. I also purchased my Brake Buddy from Big Discount RV. I di...

I will be driving my 26RSB with toad in tow to Georgia within three weeks. My question to the group is in regard to traveling on Interstate 81 then connecting to Interstate 85 and finally to Interstate 75. Usually the route I take is via Interstate 95. I am hoping to minimize congested traffic areas...

The issue of maintenance was directly with Norcold. The maintenance involved cleaning of the burner area, checking the electronics, etc..
It sounds foolish to me to refuse selling a contract when an authorized Norcold dealer could validate the condition of the unit.

Good Sam Club offers a Continued Service Plan that covers all motor home components including, in our case, the Ford Chassis. The cost for our 2004 26RSB with a $250 deductible is around $450 per year. A $500 deductible drops the cost to about $345 per year. It sounds like a reasonable expense. Does...

Well, as I suspected, the problem was with the rear calipers. The left rear caliper was frozen and the right rear caliper was sticking. Towed the car last weekend without incident.

Hi Folks, Thanks for the information regarding the setup of the Brake Buddy. I believe that I followed all the instructions as detailed by Brake Buddy and you folks. I recently had Honda inspect and repair my brakes. What they found was that both rear calipers needed replacement. I will know this we...

Bill, I am confused regarding the test button. I always press the test button 3 or more times before towing. However, no sooner have I pressed the test button, the pump comes on and returns pressure to the desired setting. In my case, towing a Honda of about 3100 pounds, the sensitivity is set at 4 ...

I have had a problem recently of brakes locking on my towed car when the brakes are applied on the motor home. The car is a 1994 Honda Accord Wagon with four wheel disc brakes. The problem developed after having the rear pads replaced and the rotors adjusted. At first I thought the problem was with ...

Registrations for the 2006 Northeast Leap’n Lions Rally must be received by July 29th. If you have been considering attending, send in your registration form and check immediately. It is unlikely that the campground will have any campsites available after July 29th due to the pressure created by t...
