Re: Rear roof Water Leak
https://youtu.be/zmVzjGTa5m4 I made the video public so hopefully you can see it now. There is a commercial machine some rv repair shops use to pressurize the interior. I got my idea from them and from some others that I have seen on the internet. I have never re-sealed the vents, luggage rack, ladd...

Re: Rear roof Water Leak
https://youtu.be/zmVzjGTa5m4 Dear SeaKing1, Please see attached video of my 2012 25RB. I pressurized the interior compartment and put soapy water on the outside. I did this after I noticed water leaking through the ceiling near the rear steel safety roll bar. The motorhome was 2 years old at the tim...

Re: Cover inquiry
I have been using a cover in the winter months here in Minnesota. It's a cover made of the gray colored fabric and wasn't one of the really expensive custom types. I do worry about the cover rubbing the gelcoat but after 5 years of covering it I have not noticed any problems. One thing that helps he...

Re: Cracked cab roof
Those look like stress cracks to me. Possibly from motion between the fiberglass cab-over and the metal roof. I only say this from my own observations of the cab over of my E450 chassis bobbing up and down ever so slightly when rolling down the road. I'm sure this is normal but it caused me to think...

Re: Fix or replacement for door latch on 2012 24RB
I also have a 2012 coach. The outside door handle became loose and would wiggle freely. I had to learn to grasp the handle firmly and rotate my hand in order to open it. If you just pulled it like one normally would do it resisted opening smoothly. I finally took it apart and found the exterior hand...

Re: Route wires through refrigerator roof vent
Hi Admoffat, I had to run wires for my solar panels down the refrigerator vent chute. I just dropped them down until they appeared at the bottom near the refrigerator controls you see when opening the outside access door. I had to remove a rather flimsy air baffle right along the top inside-edge of ...

Re: Tire Recommendations
I chose the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 225/75R16 for my 25 RB. Purchased them last fall at Discount tires. Price was around $200 each but there are usually rebates on sets of 4 or more for these tires. I have these on the rear. I have the Firestone Transforce tires on the front that are on there 3rd ...

Re: cab over sleeper conversion
The front nose of a Born Free is a big single piece of fiberglass and has no fasteners protruding from the inside to outside. It would be a bad idea to put any kind of hole through the shell as it would cause leaks. My BF has a bed so I cannot say for certain how the cabinets are mounted. From what ...

Re: My first leak, how to fix?
Steve K, I had the same problem in my 2012 25 RB when it was 2 years old. The leak was in the seam between the rear wall end cap and the roof. Substantial water could be seen in the carpet on the inside around the rear roll bar area. I was lucky to have the factory fix it. I found the leak while on ...

Re: Generator questions
The Onan 40KYFA series generator in my 2012 B.F. suffered from the same problem in that it would run for less than a minute and stop. The restart, run less than a minute, stall cycle would continue on and on. It had only 60hrs on the clock so some would say I didn't use it enough and they might be r...

https://photos.app.goo.gl/U9c1SCiUfwaGmxI23 If you can follow the link it will take you to some pics showing how I found leaks in my 2012 RB. It follows the same theme as Steve K indicated by pressurizing the cabin. They BF factory had a professional machine for doing this but I followed the lead of...

Before I get into talking about my carrier let me express how much fun it is to take the scooter along on a trip. A quick search will tell you where the picture was...

Re: Has anybody modified Batt. Compartment for 6 Volt Batts?
When you proceed to cut off the top fiberglass lip of the battery compartment be advised that there is a steel member of the coach that sits just behind the lip and runs parallel to it. (coach front to rear) This limits the amount of fiberglass you can remove to about 1/2 inch but the steel member a...

Re: Has anybody modified Batt. Compartment for 6 Volt Batts?
http://1drv.ms/1VIgUCH Steve K, As requested, I am sending along some info on how I put two T105’s in my 2012 BF. The basic problem is the height of the batteries or conversely, the lack of height in the compartment opening. The newer body style on my BF shares the battery compartment door with the...
