Dallas,
That looks great. I’m trying a new Ceramic based wax from Griot’s Garage this time around. I had similar results on my frames and seals.
Plus, everyone knows our cars and motor homes run better when they are all cleaned up, right?

Re: Leak - Driver Side Floor?
Look under the dash and look on the firewall to see if you see water trails coming down and pull the left kick panel by the hood release and see if there are water trails there. You may have a leak around the windshield.

Re: Use floor wax on tires
Dallas, I don’t know if the floor wax you used has UV protection. If it does that would protect the tire pretty well it seems. It looks like you treated the treads as well. You will want to exercise caution when first using that tire until the wax wears away. It will significantly reduce your grip. ...

Re: Alaska Caravan 2020 Rally Cancelled?
That is excellent. We are hoping the current virus situation gets under control and doesn't have any effect on our big Alaska Adventure.

Re: Alaska Caravan 2020 Rally Cancelled?
Yes. We are joining the other caravan. The same thing happened to us last year with the trip to the Canadian Maritimes. We joined the other caravan and had a great time, prompting us to sign up for the Adventure Trek to Alaska. Three other Born Free coaches also joined the other caravan to the Marit...

Re: Pantry slide not latching
Excellent suggestions.
On the topic of the Pantry Slide. Does anyone know the trick to get the pantry slide out of the cabinet. I need to remove it and I haven't been able to figure it out.
Thanks.

Re: Replacement Generator and battery shroud needed
To the OP. It is hard to tell from just the one image but I think a repair facility with a competent fiberglass technician should be able to repair the damaged fiberglass. The doors are a bigger challenge but they may be able to fabricate replacements or find some from a salvage source.

Re: RoadMast erSway Bar Steering Stabilizer
Thanks for posting. We have the same setup on our 2004 26RB. Those upgrades in conjunction with a good alignment has made our coach very driveable.

Re: BF Weight
Sorry for the confusion. I should have been more clear in my initial statement. We have been having trouble keeping within the axle capacity on the rear axle so I wanted to weigh the coach empty to see if it was close to the factory specified weight before I try again to load the coach more appropri...

Re: BF Weight
I didn't want to start a new thread but wanted to share my numbers as we are working on trying to make sure we are not overweight on the rear axle. Coach is a 2004 26RB. The vehicle is rated for 4,600lb on front axle and 9,450lb on the rear axle as has been stated by other owners here. I weighed the...

Re: Restring Shades
I'm posting on this existing thread to alleviate cluttering up the forum with yet another restringing thread. The shades in our 2004 26RB are mounted within the wood window frame and seem to free float on the cords that are attached to the frame at the top and bottom. I'm assuming that to remove the...

Re: Older Born Free color change paint job?
You are correct. It will be a lot of work. Painting over the Gel coat is not a problem, the factory did full body paint over the gel coat. The time spent with removing trim, moldings, lamps, latches, etc will make the job stand out versus trying to mask around things. When you get the body painted a...

Re: SeeLevel II Tank Monitor Install Advice
Dallas, Thanks for the reply. I agree a little higher will be optimal. That was a quick and dirty photo annotation I did on my phone. It is good to hear that the microwave is easy to pull out. I see you also moved your vent hood back. Supposedly, with the SeeLevel system you can tie their sensors in...

SeeLevel II Tank Monitor Install Advice
I’m considering installing a SeeLevel II tank monitor and would like some advice on my proposed display panel location. I have attached an image of where I’m thinking of placing the panel and would like to know if anyone thinks there would be any issues placing it here. The display is 4” wide and 1”...
