Yup, 60 pound pull could work... if that doesn't you could also consider finding a nice clean looking latch on the outside. Done right I bet you could make it look pretty nice. I know you will need to pad out the wall side to make some of the latchs flush but a little wood stained the same color mig...

Ah! I see, very different. Well what about some Cabinet Door Latch/RV Drawer Latches? My 2001 has these and I think the work pretty well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T4GP3YZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 In fact, I like them better then the metal ones on my 2003 24RB ...

Hey Tom, I have fixed our pantry slide lock with a child safety catch lock similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/Dreambaby-Secure-Catches-Safety-Locks/dp/B016MPPDE4/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=safety+catches&qid=1580237998&sr=8-7 I usually find a box of them at Home Depot, Lowes, or Walmart. You ...

Hey Dave, Did you come through Shelburne in your Born Free? I saw one in town one Friday about a week ago :-) Sandy, The back splash wasn't an issue, but that square box that the plexiglass frame is attached too is just a blank box. It is held to the back by 2 long screws - and these screws go into ...

Thanks Bill, Great suggestions - I think I have seen one of these on my 2001. This looks like what you shared in your post: http://hytten.us/forumimages/Breaker.png I can't remember if the 2003 had one.. things are kind of tight behind the power box by the water tank under the sink. I think the ATS ...

Hey folks, I recognize that everyone has their own style about what they like and don't like. We recently bought a 2001 24RB with 42,000 miles but did not find the counter top color to be as warm as our 2003 24RB. We considered changing out the counter tops but that is a lot of work and expensive. I...

Update Hey folks - in the end I replaced the water pump in my 2001 24RB and everything works perfect. I own two Born Frees and I had a water pump issue with my 2003 24RB around the same time and I thought folks might find this helpful. The switch on the monitor was working - PUMP lite up.. but no po...

Hey folks, Looking for some advice about where to check next. We have a 2003 Born Free 24RB with a Generac generator. I have a new charge controller installed this spring and some batter monitors installed and I noticed when we started the generator last night I was getting no power - nothing to out...

Thanks Bill, That could be helpful. I will be able to look closer tomorrow. In talking with the owner and doing some more research on these water pumps, I think the check valve might be stuck or there might be debris in the pump. There are a few YouTube videos out there showing these pumps and the i...

Hey folks, We are picking up a new to us 2001 Born Free 24RB on Monday. The seller mentioned he filled the water tank with fresh water and hears the water pump working when he opens the faucet but is getting no water from the faucets. He said it sounds like the pump is working constantly. I mentione...

Hey folks, We are getting a new to us 2001 Born Free 24RB. This will be the third one I have owned. The curtains in this unit are not really our taste and I would love to know if anyone has a curtain set that are willing sell. We have the ultraleather interior and the over cab bed is different from ...

Bill,

Do you know if these switches or the panel just pops out? I was sort of guessing it might.

Hey folks, I’ll start this post by saying I do plan to install a SeeLevel soon. While traveling this week I noticed my monitor lights not coming on right away every time I pressed the button on the hood... like the switch was failing? Now the lights won’t light up at all :-( The pump, range light, a...

Hi, I recently installed a 2000W Power Tech On inverter for $250 and I am very happy with it. I know it might be overkill - but I also wired it to all my outlets. Here is the Amazon link - https://www.amazon.com/Power-TechOn-Inverter-Outlets-PS1003/dp/B0131NFWX2/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=power+tech+on&...
