Re: Level with slides out?
Thanks for the reply, Judy. We, also, have had a host of problems on this unit. At this point, we have had all the shades replaced (came with motorized, switched to manual after the motors failed), one light control panel and a second one is defective currently, bedroom AC had to be replaced, one fl...

Level with slides out?
Hello all,
I apologize if this topic has been addressed before. I have a 2016 Imperial Royal with LCI Automatic Levelers.
Should the slides be in or out when leveling? There is no manual for these levelers in the manual bag I received at time of purchase.
Thanks in advance.
Lia

Re: Tire blow out
Ford dealership diagnosed the problem as leaking valve stem. Replaced same. They also claim there is no TPMS. How is that possible? I thought it has been mandatory since 2008. I would think a vehicle of this size should have one. I will look into the "Tire Safeguard Unit" Karl wrote about ...

Re: Tire blow out
The Born Free has been at Ford since Tuesday. As of yesterday, I was told they can't find anything wrong with the tire.
I told them keep looking. I'm not taking it home so it can go flat in my driveway again. So very frustrating.
Stay tuned

Re: Tire blow out **UPDATE**
Less than two weeks since the new tire was installed, I found the same tire low again. 33 PSI when I checked. I have only driven it home from the Ford dealership. (15 miles) When you get a new tire, do you also get a new valve stem? Can it be that I am having the same problem,( leaking valve stem) O...

Re: Tire blow out
Update:
Ford replaced only the driver side tire, there was no damage to the rim, and said the other tire was in fine condition.
They replaced it with the exact same Continental tire. I am very grateful that things weren't worse.
Thanks for all the input.
Have a fun and safe season!

Re: Tire blow out
Thanks for the input, folks. Bill, I think you are right. Something was making that tire lose air, which is why it got so low initially. I didn’t think to contact Continental, but will do so tomorrow. Ford intends to replace it with the exact same tire. Next question....is it necessary to replace th...

Tire blow out
Hello all, Had an unfortunate blow out on the road today. Front driver side. I only have 9000 miles on the unit. I noticed the tire looking very low and filled it up to 105psi. Drove on it about 30 minutes before it blew. Thankfully there was no damage to the motorhome and we weren’t hurt in any way...

Re: Electric Day/Night Shades
Well...it turns out that the motors on most of the shades have to be replaced. MCD, the manufacturer, walked me through reprogramming all the shades/ remotes. This was a tremendously time consuming job. The coach was plugged in all winter, with the exception of one week in February. (We were away fr...

Re: Electric Day/Night Shades
Thanks Bill...that's what I figured.
I have an email in to Kim Olsen at the factory. Very upsetting, as we have hardly used this thing since we bought it in October.

Electric Day/Night Shades
Hello friends! Getting our Imperial Royal ready for the season. Today, for the first time, I had trouble with my electric day/night shades. Most wouldn't raise/lower, and those that did were getting caught and were not going up and down in a straight line. I was only connected to my house outlet. Co...

Re: Dewinterizing tankless water heater
Thank you Bill and Chuck for your replies. The tankless system actually makes the process so easy! Planning to dewinterize this weekend. If I hit any bumps along the way, I will be back for more guidance!
Chuck...thanks for the video recommendation. That should help a bunch!!

Dewinterizing tankless water heater
Hello all! I will be dewinterizing my motorhome for the first time. My Royal Imperial has a tankless water heater and I am wondering if this has any impact on the process. It will be my first time dewinterizing anything, truth be told, but most of the videos I have watched explain the process assumi...
