Why not first take your coach to a Ford dealer and have your coolant leak checked out. Even if your engine is blown, an engine swap would be much less expensive than attempting a chassis swap.

Roger, did Flexsteel move their RV furniture operations from Dubuque, IA to Dallas?

Tom,

Have you converted your Parallax 7345 Charger/converter over to the 3-stage Progressive Dynamics PD4655V unit? Depending on your your solar panels are wired into the system, the PD4655V is much faster at recharging your batteries.

Boy you guys must really like to spend big money on replacement coach batteries. The Renogy 170 amp-hour battery costs $980 each. The Interstate SRM-31 210 amp-hour flooded cell battery costs currently $142/each. My experience running the Interstates in my 2002 BF 26'RSB using a modern 3-stage charg...

Kevin, a good rule I forgot to mention is that it always is a very good idea to switch off the 30-amp breaker at the pedestal before plugging in your Born Free power cable into the pedestal. If you would have done that and then turned the 30-amp breaker back on, the direct short would have caused th...

Kevin, It looks to me like the two 120 vac wires going to the new converter are shorted together. Make sure then is no shorting jumper at the two input terminals shoring the two terminal together. It has been quite a number of years since I installed my Progressive Dynamics converter so I don't know...

I have on my spare the rubber valve stem that the tire shop used when they installed my spare tire on a new rim. Certainly wouldn't hurt to use a metal valve stem however as those rubber valve stems seem to be a cause of premature slow leaks. You can read about recommended metal valve stems in the C...

Also because Michelin seem to have premature sidewall cracking.

Your tire size should be LT225/75R16E with E being the load range. The DOT requires that all tires of the same size have the same load carrying capability and will be 2680 lbs for this size tire and will be the same for both the Goodyear Wangler HT and the Firestone Transforce HT tire which is what ...

Dave, I have manual shades in my BF so can't help you directly. However, Born Free normally includes in their coach manual information about the various appliances installed. Locate that info and call the manufacturer for help with your shade problem.

Attached below is a standard wire gauge vs current carrying capacity table. Since your run from the chassis batteries to the 2000 watt inverter is going to be about 10 feet. If you plan on ever using the full 2000 watt output of inverter and assuming an inverter efficiency of 85%, the input current ...

Kevin, You did not say exactly how you were going to use the extra capacity of your upgrade to a 2000 watt inverter. Your correct 300 watt inverter is connected only to an outlet to power your AC TV. I assume when you install the 2000 watt inverter, you will be connecting its output to additional AC...

After a major snow storm in Minneapolis, all car owners were advised to park overnight on the left side of the street to allow the snow plows to clean the streets that night. The woman complied. The very next week after another snow storm, car owners were advised to park overnight on the right side ...

As I'm not a very bright guy, and being denied overnighting in WalMart in Denver, I headed up for Vail Pass at midnight on I-70 last April on my way to Las Vegas. Once I was committed, there was no place to turn around. The weather was lovely in Denver... a blizzard on the pass. I made it over the ...
