Re: Battery charging issue - see below!
Well, the saga continued, even after I installed the new isolator. . . no power to the battery. So, I started tracing circuits and found a fault between the cable coming from the isolator to the connector and the one going from the connector to the battery. Apparently, the connector had corroded so ...

Re: Battery charging issue - see below!
Bill,
Thanks so much for the detailed reply.
I have tested the isolator and found it is, in fact, defective.
A new 1602 is on its way.
FYI, the alternator was making a squealing noise, so by replacing it, I prevented a future failure, due to bad bearings.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Battery charging issue - see below!
My coach is a 2003 26RSB with the Ford V-10. I recently had a problem with the vehicle battery and replaced it wit a new one. Next, I had issues with the coach batteries losing power and replaced both of them. Shortly thereafter, I found that the vehicle battery was not being charged. I replaced the...

Re: Shock absorbers
I just installed a new set of Bilsteins on my '04 26RSB. The difference in ride quality, stability and noise was significant. The whole driving experience was transformed for the better. The original shocks had 68k on them. 3 had lost their pressurization and the 4th was binding up when compressed. ...

Re: 2003 26RSB - generator fuel hose degraded and needs repl
Well, my excursion to the land of lowering the fuel tank led me to make an appointment at Apalachee RV in Auburn, GA. My 26RSB is comfortably resting there, waiting for a new hose, fuel pump and filter. The risks of dropping the tank on my pad outweighed the money to be saved. Thanks for all the adv...

Re: 2003 26RSB - generator fuel hose degraded and needs repl
My tank is held by 3 steel straps that are bolted from the bottom - no studs.
I think I'll remove a center bolt to see how long it is and go from there.
Thanks for all the tips!

Re: 2003 26RSB - generator fuel hose degraded and needs repl
Sounds like we bought our BFs in the same year - 2010. We flew to Atlanta and our seller (son of the owner who just moved to the Villages) picked us up at the MARTA and took us to the coach. We liked it, bought it and started driving it home in the August heat, only to learn that neither the generat...

Re: 2003 26RSB - generator fuel hose degraded and needs repl
Talk about a small world...we used to live in Iowa and our son, who lives in Cumming, found our BF for us in Cumming. OK, so do you recall how long the strap bolts are? I can get my hand / arm on top of the tank as it is and am thinking I can just partially lower the tank, either by loosening the ex...

Thanks, Tom.
Were you able to reach the top of the tank with clearance to remove the pump without jacking up the coach? Do you recall where the fitting for the genset line was in relation to the pump connections?
By the way, we also tow a Smart - 2008 cabrio.

Re: Overhead Cab Convertion
I have removed the cabinets as you indicate and replaced them with a center panel that holds a 32" flat screen and BluRay player. I put removable curtains on both sides to allow easy access to the area in the cabover. We use that area for storage, which the coach desperately needs. Removing the...

2003 26RSB - generator fuel hose degraded and needs replacin
Hello to all! The fuel hose from the fuel tank to the genset has deteriorated to the point where it has multiple leaks and must be replaced. Does anyone know if there's an "easy" way to reach the top of the tank in order to remove the hose from the pickup? Unfortunately, my gas tank is &qu...
