Re: Air ride air bag leak
One of the reasons I replaced my Airbags was my brackets started to bend, in fact one almost cracked all he way through, you can see the crack near the lower bolt. I have heard that this is a common problem. You can see also where the brackets would hit, this caused some noise. I paid around $550.00...

Re: Air ride air bag leak
My advice would be to ditch the air bags and purchase the SuperSprings, I gained around 3" of rear lift and my 26RSB drives just as good, maybe better. I understand that BornFree made the switch from Airbags to Supersprings on their newer RV's.

Strange brackets
Can anyone help me identify what these brackets are for? Are they stock on the BornFree?

Re: Onan generator cutting out in hot weather
I posted my experience in another forum, my issue sounded exactly like yours. I ended up adding an oil cooler with a fan and re-locating the generator muffler. My temps went way down and I can now run my generator in 100+ degree weather.

Re: Easy Solar Panel Mount
So far I have had zero issues with this setup, in fact I have added a third panel to the front of the roof. The picture attached below shows the mount, I could take better pictures if requested. I currently have two 6volt batteries, if I had room for more batteries I would install them, but I have n...

That range is just not going to cut it for an RV platform.

Re: Overhead Bunk Power
I ended up fishing the 12 volt wire under the fabric to the wall, and mounted a USB charger. At least I made use of it!

Re: Overhead Bunk Power
We do use the bed, in fact I just bought a 4" memory mattress topper and cut it to fit. I just can't help feeling that those power outlets are wasted sitting under the mattress, I want to use them for something!

Overhead Bunk Power
I thought it was interesting that Born Free has the 12 volt and 120 Volt outlets built into the overhead bunk for the entertainment center even if you have the overhead bed. I found these under my mattress one day. I was wondering if anyone has done anything creative with these? I was thinking of ex...

Re: Route wires through refrigerator roof vent
Just a suggestion but I would consider wrapping those wires that go through the metal screen on the fridge vent with some wire loom. I could see those wires eventually rubbing against the metal screen and making contact.

Re: Easy Solar Panel Mount
I really have no problem walking along the sides by the solar panels on the roof, there is enough room to on either side. I recently added another 170 matching panel to the front of the motor home. This gives me a total of 510 watts, all connected to a Victron MPPT 100/30 bluetooth controller.

Re: Easy Solar Panel Mount
Interesting, I never thought of creating an access hole on the side. It would simplify the install as I wouldn’t have to fish the wire under the RV. However I’m always hesitant to make new holes.

Re: Easy Solar Panel Mount
Believe it or not but there is enough room to walk on either side of the panels to the front of the roof. I wouldn't say it's super safe, but the pathway is there. Where did you fish your wires through from the sides?
