Just to update for reference for all those with 32 year old units. The Black wire with the yellow stripe goes from under the hood to the converter battery connection. I cut this at the frame rail and wired it directly to my house battery. It appears it was running all the way to the front, just to g...

Our most difficult problem is disconnected wires, in our case caused by a rear tire blowout that took out some cabling. it appears I'll never figure it out yet I have managed to get most systems running...

Hello! I’m trying to sort out 30 years of wiring. I’ve removed several, but I’ve come across about 6 wires that go to the rear from under the hood. Two of the have 12v and were connected to each other (one black and one white). A black wire with a fuseable link that is currently hot. A white wire th...

This is good advice. I finally got around to looking at the issue and it’s just a cracked hose. Ordered it for $7. I always seem to over complicate things, but research and learn a lot in the process. Cheers!

I have kept my fixtures on my 87 and removed ballasts and installed LED adhesive strips. It gives it a factory look, and a nice warm light with less power consumption. Yes, these are all 12v fixtures. Rolls of LED strips can be found online, several different flavors available.

Hello! I have just discovered a wire harness behind my water pump switch. I have been curious for some time now where my tank sensor wires go. Now that I’ve found it, I’m wondering what display panels are compatible with existing sensors, and possibly what was used from factory? Thanks in advance fo...

So I’ve got an 87 24’. I love the interior, but it’s looking like my engine might be blown, as I’ve got coolant spraying everywhere. I’m wondering if anyone here has done a chasis swap and if it’s a good idea? It would guarantee I get my cab over resealed, which would have been a concern, as it coul...
