70+ Born Frees Sighted In Nashville!!!

Wanted to be the first to post the sighting. Figured somebody else would post it first.

Curtis - I recently bought a 1997 24RB. Yes the biggest difference/problem is the 350 vs 450 load rating. I'm pretty well maxed out with just the essentials. But then again you will probably get a much better price, which for me as a testing the water entry point made it more palatable. Look for the...

TL -

In my 1997 24RB it was bolted on the back of the Converter/Charger. Mine 'smoked' a few months ago and I had to pull the Converter/Charger out, disconnect it, rewire the feeds, and mount a new one on the cabinet wall rearward of the Converter/Charger.

YMMV

Anne - I guess I'm the fella .... I wasn't writing my missive to scare anybody. I think of all the problems I've had as minor and expected when I bought a 10 year unit. I was writing to let anybody know that due to special items and tight spaces it is sometimes hard to work on RV's but always doable...

Greetings All - An update on our 'new' coach. I did replace the cab over bed 'moon' window with Glass Doctor. So far no leaks. They were able to closely match the dark color from stock but probably not perfectly. I then took the rig over to a local dependable auto repair shop that does a lot of work...

First - Thanx for all the work by the volunteer administrators!!! I owned and operated an ISP for over 10 years so I have a bit of experience with this kind of problem. They aren't 'targeting' us. They don't care about us. They are scanning the world for 'easy' targets. If we delete them quickly the...

Bill - Thanx for your quick and concise reply. I will be doing at least an axle weight if not a four corner weight at the first opportunity and then will probably adjust the tires down a bit. I'd read your tire charts and will probably follow them +5#'s for a safety edge. I guess my surprise and que...

How far over GVWR is safe on a E350?

Greetings - As you may recall we just got a used 1997 24RB. I've just had the window fixed, installed new LTX tires, new Tireman valve stems, replaced the ball joints (rusted from sitting), replaced entire front brakes (rotor, caliper, etc because of rust), tuned up, aligned, flushed tranny, lubed a...

Nori & Jake - Amen & Amen You are lucky to have found your problem BEFORE you and your RV went up in smoke. The RS400 only has a 6 amp transfer switch and is NOT intended (IMHO) for any kind of hardwiring to some general use 15/20amp outlets. More especially the ones in the kitchen where hi ...

General Coach Construction Guidelines?

I've skimmed through most of the posts, including "Installing Backup Camera" and "Installing CB Radio Antenna" articles. I have a generic question - What's between the fiberglass and the carpet? Or put another way. Where can I drill holes, where can I not, where can I attach a sc...

norijake- thanx for the info. i've used a lot of people over the years for windshields. what i'm talking about getting fixed is the fixed window in the front of the cab over sleeping compartment. i can tell from the picture that you have a newer model that didn't include that easy to break and easy ...

Carol & Ed - Thanx for the information on Bud & Mata. I do believe we have a creme puff of a coach and look forward to many years of use. Joe & Edith - Thanx for the welcome. We think for quality of finish we've made the right choice. I spent a LOT of time researching each rig I found fo...

Everything Old Is New Again ....

Greetings All - For the last couple of weeks I've been a 'lurker' around here and skimmed through most of the messages on the board. Last Friday I flew to Tyler, Texas and picked up a gently used 1997 24RB President. I've been searching the web for a 24'-25' RV most of the fall and have looked at se...
