I have Six Born Free Signs that I used at rallies to help with directions to the rally sites. I no longer need them and would like to give them to someone in the club. The Signs are about 12"x 18" with a 4' stake. I am located in Laguna Beach, California. You can contact me at my email- be... |

I installed four 6volt gel batteries in 2004. There is no room left in the battery compartment. We had to put a metal plate under the compartment with a bolt up through the inside floor of the Born Free because of the weight of the batteries. I also added a solar system and inverter/charger 2000 wat... |

Over the 12 years I have owned my BF I have learned a lot about tire pressure. I have had two flat tires because my pressure was to low. I have my rear tires about 77lbs and front at 62lbs. Everything I have read it is safer to have too much pressure in the tires than not enough. If the tire pressur... |

You might try windshield washing fluid. I am sure they would have some that does not freeze. |

I just wanted to comment about the heat strip. I have run the heat strip many times 10-12 hours with no problems. To improve the function of the heat strip I just recently installed a thermostat. |

I have a 2002 24RB and have towed a Jeep wrangler for 6 years and have never had a problem. It sounds like your malibu may have a problem. Are you carrying anything in the Malibu to change the weight distribution. It sounds like your Malibu is not tracking right. Is there any chance that your brakin... |

Is your steering wheel on your malibu in the locked position. In my Jeep I have to turn the key to a position to unlock the steering wheel so it turns easily. |

The propane tanks are only filled to 3/4. You can see this on the gauge of the tank. The propane then has room for expansion under higher temperatures. Some 27 years ago my family had a motorhome, a Ford Roll a Long, that Linda and I used for a trip to Oregon in June. It was snowing by Diamond Lake ... |

Bill, I agree with everything you said. Sharon, I stay at the Mammoth RV park in Mammoth Lakes. It has electrical hookups in the winter but no water or sewer. You can dump and fill your water if you have to at a dump station in the park. It also has showers and heated indoor swimming pool and spa po... |

I have taken my 24' RB Born Free on many ski trips with temperatures sometimes below zero. I put some antifreeze in the holding tanks. I open the lower cabinet doors around any water lines to help keep them warm. I have stuffed some insulation behind the shower through the outside access door. At ni... |

Bill,
I think the alternator is tied into my inverter/charger monitor. When I have charged the batteries in a campground - not moving, the amps going through the charging systems will decrease as the batteries get full. |
