We do not own a canoe, but have met a couple in our travels who carry a canoe on the roof. They told us that the factory made the rack and system (I think it was a pulley type) that allowed them to access/store the canoe from the ground. Perhaps you could email Kim and ask him more about this setup.... |

After 10 years of ownership, we decided to remove the battery tray that holds the coach batteries in order to sand it down and paint it. It was quite a battle to remove the rusted nuts on the four bolts that hold the tray in place. Thanks to several gallons of PB Blaster and help from a neighbor, we... |

This is a natural product and here is website http://www.earth-kind.com/products/repellent/fresh-cab-12-pk/ This product has been used for years in our barn where we store 2 vehicles and in the house as well. Hi, Dallas. Hope BF HQ can repair and get your Born Free back in operation. I, too, was insured by USAA for a long time(43 years), and also noticed a change for the worse after it expanded membership eligibility. The final straw was in 2009 when I got my annual homeowners renewal and noticed a rise ... |

We had this problem with our generator as well. It ended up being the voltage regulator inside the generator. If you look at my previous post on our Generac generator, there is more detailed information. The generator had to be pulled from the BF to repair. The transfer switch is another possible is... |

We tangled with a tree a few years ago and our rear awning arm had to be replaced. New England Yankees save everything and that bent arm is stored up in our barn. The plastic cover of the rear arm of the awning is intact and we could remove that and send it off to you (as it is the same Carefree 12v... |

We have the same problem with our generator, but still not quite resolved. Last fall ( see an Oct 24 2012 thread) we could not get our generator to run. Although we took it to a reputable repair service in Bangor, this did not get resolved in 2 visits. Bill Hemme and others helped us find the switch... |

I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughtful replies. I've been out of the country for a few weeks, so am catching up with this. There seems to me to be a lot of merit to the suggestion that Ford supplies the chassis to RV manufacturers like Born Free without any idea what the RV manufacturer is ... |

This past weekend we had the BF in western MA, visiting my brother. Out to dinner Friday night, back to my brother's home in his car, picked up the BF and headed out to the campground where we were staying. The car behind me started honking at me. I looked at the dash and noticed I did not have any ... |

We have received two unsolicited emails from Lazydays today. I have now marked these as Spam. I would hope that the Born Free did not share my email with Lazydays.

We have stayed at the Newburgh KOA more than a few times while traveling south, but only for one night. It is clean and well run and would be pleasant enough to stay a few days. It is a typical layout with playground, etc for families. The sites we have stayed at were woodsy and well separated from ... |

Today we received in the mail a new remote switch for our Generac/Guardian Rv generator. We ordered it last week, based upon Jasper's recommendation, from Advanced Service and Parts, which can be found online at http://www.partsfortechs.com/asapcart/. They provided excellent customer service, even t... |
