Exterior skin free floating or laminated?
Just wondering if the exterior fiberglass of the Born Free is a laminated wall (bonded to what's under it) or is free floating. The fiberglass exterior walls on my coach sometimes extend out maybe a half inch from what is under it. It is possible to press the fiberglass in against the wall. Previous...

furnace problem
This might not be your problem but it happened to us. Furnace fan ran but it would not light. Mobile RV tech pulled out the furnace from inside the coach. There were two tiny gnats that were inside the burner tube. This prevented propane from flowing and igniting. Ever since then I have placed blue ...

brakes dragging
Richard, I had exactly the same problem. A brake will drag and expand the rotor which will cause the steering wheel to wobble. Funny thing is after it cools off it may not reoccur for a while. However, it is likely to reoccur at some unknown time and place when it can interupt your plans. I had the ...

Converting Cabover Entertainment to Sleeper
Putting this topic out there to see what you think. We have a 2002 26' with the rear side bed. Just finished our longest stay and trip. The back bed too small for wife and self, but OK for her. The sofa OK but not the greatest. I'm 6' and ahem.....210. Pretty tight quarters with the 70lb shepard dog...

2010 Factory Homecoming
Apparently there is no scheduled factory homecoming this year as 2011 will be the big one for Mr Dodgen's 85th. So wondering if anyone will be going this year and if so, what dates. If nothing is really organized, might not be worth going. We may go sometime anyway to have the cabover converted to a...

Toad Towing
Have a question for the Born Free brain trust. I'm considering towing an '05 Honda Odyssey on a Demco 3 dolly. Honda weighs at least 4600 and the Demco 600. So total weight 5200 at least which is a little over the rated 5000 capacity. I towed around 5000 lbs before on a car hauler and it did not see...

furnace problems
Had similar problem recently in our 2002 BF when blower would come on but furnace would not light. Local mobile RV tech found problem right away. Four tiny dead gnats were in the small propane opening, so flow of gas was blocked. The burner opening is like a pin hole. Who knows why gnats would go in...

Dragging Front Brake Calipers
Have owned our new to us 2002 26RSB since Jul 2009. Previous owner mentioned that the steering wheel would pulse or wobble sometimes. Anyway, what seems to happen is that one of the front brake calipers which pinch the rotor when the brake is applied do not fully release. It has happened to both the...
