Bigdipper, thanks for advice. I'll definitely check with Ed on the both the location of the Inverter as well as the connecting cable.

Question: Is that 2014 Forester you tow a manual transmission? Did you have to do anything special to set it up for towing?

Additional questions

First of all, thanks everyone for your input. We (... and by that, I mean the wife...) have decided on the 23' Freedom Rear Kitchen. Working with Ed, we definitely will have Solar Panels and an Inverter. The Tow-vehicle is going to be a 2000 Toyota 4Runner with a drive-shaft disconnect installed. Th...

Thanks Mike. Will do. Solar panels (or solar ready) are on the list as well as the inverter! Appreciate the advice!

I will talk to Ed about the inline surge suppression as well!

Thank you ewagman and bill. Zeroing in on the Roadmaster All Terrain. A friend is changing to an always installed and ready brake system for his Toad, so he is going to give me his Blue Ox Apollo portable brake unit for the Toad. My plan is to practice with it once we settle on the Toad vehicle. We ...

Buying a new Born Free - Looking for advice

We have settled around the 23 foot (or 24 foot) new Born Free models. Still working out whether the wife wants a rear kitchen or side kitchen models. We'll be going for the E450 chassis with the V10 engine (if I have the correct). Anyone have experience with a tow vehicle for this model? Been lookin...

I utilized a license plate camera and ran the RCA cable through the existing hole where the license plate light gets its power. Up front, I ran the cable up through the drivers side floor panel (where all the other wires are already) and connect it to my Garmin Dezl 560. (it has an access port for a...

I looked into purchasing one as well and from what I gathered, it added quite a bit of difficulty to camping, unless you stay in one location for an extended period of time. It did not fit our current habits.

Spring is almost here

Just thought I'd post an update on the use of the cover this last winter. Today I removed the cover and found that adding the frame allowed air to flow and prevented the "black mold" build up from prior winters.

Now I get to let my friend Bob know that his suggestion did the trick.

This is not a solution to getting your heater working but instead an alternate heat source. As long as you have 110v connection, just use one of those small electric space heaters. It is amazing how well it works.

Same as bcope01, we do not filter our water, simply buy a gallon for drinking and coffee needs.
