Re: Actual Fuel Capacity?

My 2001 held 55 gallons which I learned to my chagrin waiting for non existent low fuel warning light to come on.

Anybody Out There?

Just completed meandering trip AZ to AK. 8800 miles pretty much followin route Born Free factory took. Saw 2 BF, about an hour apart in Kenai. At 80000+ miles, chassis and coach performed flawlessly. If anyone wants more details, pm me.

Re: Travel Advice please for MO and OK

Good private CG just SW of Lebanon, MO. Can't remember name but you'll see it. Concerning St. Louis from I-55, I-64, I-70 or whatever to I-44. It's a little tricky for awhile after you come off the bridge so watch signs carefully. Otherwise no problem getting through through town. Red Rock State Par...

Re: What you think of me putting heavy Generator on rear hit

Steve,
Weigh loaded, both axels. Then do the arithmetic wirh added weight at rear. I'd expect it will not look good for a likely already light front and possible near capacity rear.

Re: Seat Belt on couch - If you have them what length are yo

Kevin, Nobody has responded so this is my experience. The folks in Humboldt installed three sets of seat belts under couch/folding bed. I no longer have the 2001 23RK, but if this is what you have in mind I would suggest using a tape measure to determine proper belt length. Use big washers under the...

Re: HWH 725 leveling system problem

Mine is joy-stick version with box to right of driver's seat. Fuse right on top under a fitting with slot and labelled. Don't know your configuration, but the same fuse must be somewhere in cab.

Mine has a fuse accessible on top. Might be worth a try.

This subject gets beaten to death. You won't go wrong getting the E rated Michelins.
Just my opinion and experience.

Re: Weird Loss of Shoreline Power

Bill, This may not be helpful but long ago on my 2001 23RK there was a similar issue between Onan and Shore power. I talked to BF and learned there was a second switch, circuit breaker or something which I was able to reset. As I recall, it was to rear of converter, circuit breakers, etc., maybe mou...

Re: roof and side wall construction question

I saw the BF molding operation years ago. It is somewhat like fiberglass in a boat rather than sheets laid together. If I were in this situation, would look for somebody who repairs fiberglass boats for both estimate and doing the fix-up.
Sorry for the damage. Good luck.

Re: hot water heater operation

Dirk,
From the thread I conclude that, like my former 2001, water heater is propane only. The 2011 has switches side-by-side. Propane lights up for a few seconds, but on 110 there is no indication other than switch position.

Re: Speculation, but

I have had a sense that sales volume was just too low to cover fixed costs. The proliferation of models might have been an attempt to increase volume which backfired. Back on 2007, John commented that he really needed to double sales volume and I expect it went the other way. In 2011 I may have been...

Re: Daytime running lights (DRL)

Dallas, Cars, and trucks, are becoming ever more complicated and sophisticated. Even on a 2000 that was underway. As a retarded mechanical engineer I would today make no change to vehicle electrical system nor would I trust a self confessed expert. Sorry but that's me and you did ask. How 'bout a hu...

Re: Daytime running lights (DRL)

Dallas,
I earlier reported that I believe my 2001 E450 had drl. If your chassis is 2001, methinks yours would had them in the beginning. That's my story and I'm stick'n to it. If you believe me talk to a Ford dealer.
