I was mainly referring to the tow bars, although I did not know that the base plates would interchange. I know the widths are more than likely identical because of frame width, but I don't know if there are differences in how the different tow bars work. It sounds like I can't go wrong with a Blue O...

Thanks for the replies so far. I had forgot actually that it would probably be wise to also get a brake buddy to brake the Explorer as well so the motorhome isn't all of a sudden stopping close to 16000 pounds...I've already added an extra 10K-rated trans cooler in line with the stock cooler along w...

We are heading out to camp on the Metolius River at Camp Sherman and then over to Prineville to my uncle's house so we can go scouting the Maury Unit for my Bull tag. Should be a fantastic 5 days or so!

I wanted to ask everyone's opinions on tow bar options. We just bought an 03 Explorer Sport Trac that I will eventually be getting set up to flat tow. I found the instructions on how to wire up the LED and get the computer flashed to allow Neutral in the Transfer case. But I otherwise know nothing a...

This is similar to what we pay for our BF with Progressive. So much more affordable than American Family. They wanted over 1500 a year for the same coverage!

They are not a bad choice, to be sure. You actually can't go wrong with a Ford Motorcraft filter either #FL-820S. But if you want an extra quart capacity, there are a couple options: Motorcraft, #EFL-252 NAPA Gold, #1087 Fram, #PH-2975 These are for 98-up 6.8L V10's In my opinion, you can't go wrong...

Hey Trix, We're looking at putting together a little BF meetup sometime late this summer or early fall. Kind of an impromptu, non-official meet. Would you be interested in joining?

When my brakes did that last month I limped it to Schwab's and had them put on all new calipers, rotors, and pads and had them repack the bearings and regrease all the joints in the front end. She drives like new now. For a paltry 550 bucks anyway...

Oh, and bring back a bunk bed model like the Libals have. That is AWESOME for a family with children. :D Thanks! It is an awesome thing for sure! I am certainly a young Born Free owner as my wife is 34 and I am 33, and we have a 6 year old boy, Isaac. We had a 21' Tahoe TT for about 5 years before ...

Just this weekend, I forgot that my charger/converter is on the fritz and it fried for the second time my Dinosaur board on my Dometic fridge. So now I'm looking at a 200+ dollar charger/converter and a 100 dollar Dinosaur board and my fridge will only run on gas in the meantime. The Libals, Your c...

See I always figured that coaches came with their own custom tanks based on the configuration of the coach. Mine looks like a big box underneath the coach, where my pickup tanks looked completely different. What I see under there is a ton of room to double the size of my tank. I'd love to have an 8...

How did your fuel tank rust out?? That's definitely a first that I've seen. Makes me worry about my 40 gallon tank... The only one I know I'm going to need to replace is my 29 gallon propane tank in 2018 when it hits 25 years old. There are definitely no "trouble-free" RV's in existence. Born Free's...

For information there was a period of time when BF offered three sizes of beds in the 26 rear bed model. Twin, 3/4 and full. In Dude's photo that may be a 3/4 bed. Which one is the largest? Is it able to accomodate an adult 6'3/210 lbs? Probably by yourself, but it's still going to be as short as a...

I love how you did your TV. My setup was slightly different, but I put my led in about the same spot. It works really well! Good work!!
