Visited Lazydays in Tucson & some Born Free's

I was in Tucson on business a couple of weeks ago so I stopped by the Lazydays dealership. Wow. What a huge and upscale place. They have a great outdoor setting with a very large inventory. The interior is very high end. They have a large indoor 2 story lobby finished in high end materials. They had...

I think that Michelin was just giving me all of the options that they would replace the tire with:, not knowing what kind of vehicle it was going on. With advice from my mechanic, we are going to have Uniroyal Laredo cross country tires installed this week because the inventory for the Michelin tire...

I just checked my date code and I definitely have the affected tires. My mechanic is telling me that the LTX MS are also back ordered. I talked to the Michelin hotline and they said that there are 4 other options for tires. I could do the Michelin MS2 or the LTX A/T or I could do a BF Goodrich All T...

Yes, there is no question that a Nexus is not a Born Free. (It is also about 60% of the cost) My initial comments were strictly admiring the idea of a real bed in a 25' coach - not much more than that.

The Libals, what have you done to enhance the comfort of the over cab sleeping surface? right now we are using self inflating sleeping pads with a sleeping bag over the top. It is OK but not great. I'm curious what your solution is.

Sure, there are unanswered questions with an approach like this and I certainly am not implying that a Born Free and a Nexus are equal. I am just very intrigued with any floor plan approach that puts a permanent bed and a normal size mattress inside of a coach that is 25' or less. That is extremely ...

My dream Born Free

We love our current Born Free model. It is perfect for our current use. My wife and I have been talking, just in general conversation, about what our "perfect" RV would be when we are emtpy-nesters and the kids are gone to College. From a size and floorplan perspective, I think we've found...

Stabilizing RV when parked

As my kids get older, the general consensus from my family after sleeping in the BF is that they can periodically wake up in the night when another family member is shifting their weight in bed, walking to the bathroom, etc. Nothing major - just enough to wake them up sometimes. It isn't the movemen...

We bought our first RV at age 37 and our BF at age 40. I think there are others out there like us. I know three others in our age bracket that own as well. Think about the rally itself though. We can't just take off work to attend a rally. We have limited vacation days to think about. No offense wha...

Not all stations broadcast from the same spots. In my area 4 of 6 broadcast from a common place but the other 2 of them broadcast from a location 180 degrees opposite. What is your exact location? You can run it through http://www.antennaweb.org/ if you have Internet access now. There are also free ...

No, that isn't correct. The email was sent by Born Free, THROUGH their Facebook page, using the Born Free mailing list. That is how it works. If you gave Born Free your email address then by definition this was not unsolicited. The relevant Federal law on this basically states that "there are n...

new Good Sam Rand McNally 7725 GPS

For those interested, I've received the new 7725 from Rand McNally / Good Sam. I've posted a first impressions blog post and will follow up with more comments in early June after returning from my first trip with it. You can read the blog post here: http://jkcarp.blogspot.com/2013/05/rand-mcnally-go...

Maybe I am missing something but why not just upgrade to a good single DIN radio and use a nice portable navigation device? Certainly that combination would cost less than the prices that you have been talking about and arguably the overall experience would be better.
