Traveling from FL to San Diego and return we saw only one Born Free also. Would like to hear summary of Glacier experience, have never been there. If I had a Bucket List, it would be on it. Don't know if you can summarize the Glacier visit here or maybe it has to be private message. Thanks. John Ju...

Don't know about CA, but Discount Tire in AZ has good rep for being knowledgeable about tires and related subjects. They installed my metal valve stems.

Ralph Sine wave is the preferable choice. However, If you plan to use 1800 watts, the house battery will be drained before dark. In my experience, 300 watts are sufficient to give you enough entrainment and computer power for the night. Live the A/C, Coffee Pot and the Microwave Oven to the Generat...

I have used a $35 300W inverter from Sears to power DTV inverter and small TV with no problems for several years. That has to be a very non-sine wave but neither appliance seems to care. I did install a 30 amp, 12V socket to power it. However on a soon to be built BF I did concede to the "exper...

Alan, One thing I could recommend would be just a set of red & black battery jumper cables and those would serve a dual purpose if you bought a set that were 12' in length. I have over the years had two occasions were I run down my chassis battery and therefore could not start my chassis engine...

I have new BF on order which will have 4 6V AGM batteries. In a couple of months or so it will hopefully become clear that there are advantages, which include no maintenance, faster recharge, perhaps less weight per AH. Price is not an advantage, for sure. I am getting Lifelines.

Sorry I may be getting thread off-topic. My postings based on the future BF will be more meaningful after I have the unit and am living with it. Sometime in the fall, or perhaps in 2011, I will provide the board a review of a rather unusual electrical system. For what it is worth, the configuration ...

Just to add to this issue, I have recently committed to buy a BF 24RB and it will have AGM batteries. I will go with 4 6V and a total of 440 AH capacity. These batteries make even Trojans seem quite inexpensive and represent, IMO, a considerable bet that it is the way to go. And yes, two AGMs would ...
