Tire Effect On Ride Quality
I have the 23' rear kitchen. Weight (fully loaded) is about 12,300# with gross weight up to 14,000#+. I currently have the Bridgestone steel wall tires and will need to replace soon. I am concerned about ride quality since there is not much weight in the unit - if the road is rough the ride can be h...

I can't resist posting to this topic, I'm a little bit of a fanatic on this subject with all my vehicles. I do one of two things for the 23.5' BF: 1. Do it myself. I use only Meguiar's RV/Boat wax (especially for fiberglass finish). They also have a polish for RV/Boats, but since my 1999 has always ...

Charlotte, I absolutely feel you did the right thing. I did this about three years ago (the brand I used was Trojan). The batteries will take many deeper discharges then the 12 volt. They are real work horses. I suggest you check with Camping World. They have a kit that installs on these batteries, ...

I'm not sure what brand to get, right now the ride is firm enough and control has always been excellent. The 23 foot unit on the E 450 is not the least bit overloaded. I tried calling BF today but they really had no suggetions. As I understand it the Bilstiens are a firmer ride? I don't need that. A...

When to Replace Shocks??
I have a 1999 rear kitchen (23') with a 450 chassis. The unit has 45,000 miles. The unit has a fairly high payload (about 2,000 pounds) so it hasn't been overloaded. When do I need to replace the shocks or how can I tell if it is time? If it is time, any suggestions for the replacement type or brand...

Reply to Weather Radio
Hello, I've found about any and many weather radios are available. I have a FM/AM radio (portable) that also has weather stations. I got it at Radio Shack, they have a good selection. You can get them in stand alone models or as a part of your CB radio (Cobra). Good luck on your trip. I'm heading fo...

RV Fire
The Tampa paper had a story and pictures on an RV that had a front tire blow out. Before the vehicle came to a stop, sparks from the pavement and tire rim ignited the tire and it burst into flames. The owner and a state trooper (who saw it happen) couldn't stop it with two fire extinguishers. The RV...
