Re: Pantry slide not latching

My pantry got a thorough test today. Eight miles of god awful gravel/dirt one lane washboard and rutted road. The magnet came through with flying colors.

Re: Pantry slide not latching

If your pantry is the same as mine, there are three slides, two on the side and one on the bottom. If you extend the pantry all the way out, you will see a plastic tab on the side of the lower rail and on the bottom rail. Moving the tab on both the side and bottom rails will allow you to pull the pa...

Re: Pantry slide not latching

I installed one the magnetic catches this morning. Getting the magnet aligned is critical. I doubt that the pull is 60 pounds but hopefully it will be enough. I can always add another if not.

Re: Pantry slide not latching

I think that 8 pounds of pull may not be enough. Your post reminded me that I have some magnetic catches recommended by member tanksalot. I haven't used any yet. They supposedly have a 60 pound pull. If they have that much pull, it might be a bit excessive. I'll keep you posted. Thanks. Link: Magnet...

Re: Pantry slide not latching

Thanks Kevin. That's a simple solution, but my pantry differs from yours. Mine does not have a door. It might still work though.

Pantry slide not latching

The top slide on my pantry has a latching mechanism that no longer latches. I have sprayed some lube on the slide with no change. I could easily install an external latch, but would rather not. I am now using a bungee cord and occasionally forget to fasten that. The same would be true with an extern...

Re: Shock absorbers

Thanks for the info. I still haven't done mine. I now have 108k on my coach and it's on my long list of things to do. I'm back in Florida again and will tackle it when I return home in the spring.

Re: Looking for replacement door stop hinge

I used a magnetic door stop. They are available at home stores. Here's one from Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Onward-3-in-Brushed-Nickel-Magnetic-Door-Stop-67NBR/202206068 https://images.homedepot-static.com/productImages/02ac8408-bd39-4a68-aef8-01e29262cbc0/svn/onward-door-stops-67nbr-64_...

Re: How long on your batteries

The Trojan T-105 batteries are taller than the Interstate 12 volt, so measure the height of the opening to make sure they will fit.

Re: Dead Xantrex 400

First make sure the inverter is dead by plugging something directly into it. Repairing a 400 watt inverter would undoubtedly cost more than a new one. There are basically two types of inverters, modified sine wave (MSW) and pure sine wave (PSW). MSW is the cheaper of the two and typically costs less...
