Newbie questions about blowing out the lines

This will be my first attempt at this procedure. I will be doing this on an 08 27' Rear Bath model. 1. I have 4 floor drains for the water system. 2 under the kitchen cabinet and 2 adjacent to the hot water heater. Do you leave these floor drains open or closed during this procedure? 2. I have remov...

Best iPhone 5 apps for camping

What are you experiences and recommendations for apps using the iPhone 5s for camping. Dump station locator, propane locator, campground reviews, Wal-marts, etc.

I thought I would use the expert experiences of this group before I download anything.

Thanks

I just use the pink stuff. Seems to me that the only 'con' to the air-compressor method is that the water pump may not get cleared. Can that potential problem not be solved by hooking up to the antifreeze jug as normal and then running the pump for a short boost? Seems like it would put enough anti...

Dometic refer. After testing for 12v to refer and then manually lighting the LP, it now seems to be working properly. I appreciate your suggestions and I had tried most of them to try and figure out the problem. I still have not determined why the generator quit running. As I remember, the interior ...

generator, knock out 120V outlets?

Ran the generator for monthly exercise. Plugged in 1500w space heater to provide a "load" All is good, then genny stopped - still have 1/2 tank of fuel and it will restart. 120v outlets and heater no longer work. Checked panel an 20 amp circuit breaker to "Refrigerator and convertor&q...

February in Kissimmee or Winter Haven Fl recommendations

Quick change of plans. Looking for a spot around Kissimmee or Winter Haven, no not going to see the Mouse. Anyone with any experience of a good spot to spend the month of February. Single guy with a 27' RB and toad. Not looking for anything special, just clean and quiet. Off to Fort DeSoto after tha...

I live close to Nexus and have toured their plant and they do make a quality product. Before you "jump" to this model, investigate how the bed works when the slide is closed. If you are boondocking in a parking lot for the night, and the slide is closed, can you use the bed? Can you get in...

Quartz or ceramic heaters

Starting to plan for fall trips. Anyone care to give me recommendations and your experience with using a quartz or ceramic space heater.

What brand model do you use?

Will be used in a 27' RB Born Free.

Thanks for your response.

I live close to Nexus and I have toured their facility. Quality product, but not to Born Free standards. I like the winterized holding tanks and size.

Well worth a good luck and probably a good value. The Ghost will be featured HGTV's show on the Hersey RV program

There is also a screen right at the faucet end. If both hot and cold are low pressure it could just be that screen. Only the hot water side has that extra filter/screen for some reason. I guess they figure it would catch any debris from the hot water tank itself. The factory took mine out, said it ...

Yes, V-10. I Bought this coach from the original owners and the levelers and configuration was their design. The single powered incline bed is opposite and runs parallel to the jack knife couch. Both very comfortable. Bath is in the rear as normal. Being a 27' I gain a double wardrobe with 4 drawers...

2008 27' RB

I have completed 1288 miles of what will be a 1500 mile trip from Indiana, Wiaconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and then back home to Indiana. This trip included 2 trips thru, around Chicago. I avoid the toll roads, but still spent hours on their freeways, sometimes crawling along at less then 5 MPH. Neve...

Water heater woes

If I run the RB sink or shower, I get maybe 30 seconds of nice hot water, then nothing but cold. Hooked up to shore power and city water, so that should eliminate those problems.

Any suggestions to help this "newbie" solve this
Problem would be welcome.

Thanks
