Re: HWH 725 leveling system problem

Thanks, Ralph. It seems like a fuse type problem to us. Where exactly is the fuse located on your unit?

HWH 725 leveling system problem

We have our coach out of storage to head south this Friday from frigid Michigan. The leveling system is not working at all, fortunately jacks are up. The parking brake is set, coach engine running, the system panel is lit but nothing happens when when I push the level button except for a faint click...

Re: Chinook MH and BF pic

In 2004 when we first looked at motor homes we were in Portland and toured a Bigfoot class C. It was a very nice coach with tons of storage and 4 seasons capability - a basement and ducted heating, etc. they are built in Canada and we decided not to buy because they had no US dealers. We are still h...

Re: SMI braking system

Thanks, Joel. We will probably take the cheap way out for right now and stay with the brake buddy for a while, but it is nice to know what alternatives are out there.

Re: Upgrading a 2001 RSB

Sorry, our pitiful WiFi is weird tonight. I meant to to say we do not recommend a tankless hot water heater or induction cooktop. As for cosmetic changes, we were very happy with replacing our carpet and linoleum with pergo wood flooring. Not that expensive, easier to care for and looked much better.

Re: Upgrading a 2001 RSB

Hi, Dallas. The mechanical items we appreciate on our 2015 from our 2004 are the tire monitoring system, a no brainer, automatic levelers, and a back up camera. An improved charger/inverter is also good. There are some other goodies than you can probably do like replacing outlets with usb receptacle...

Re: SMI braking system

Thank you so much for the very helpful responses. Just have to decide if we want to spend the extra money!

SMI braking system

We are preparing a new to us tow car. The truck place doing the base plate, etc. installation has suggested that we consider using the SMI braking system. We currently have a brake buddy, which works fine but is clunky and has to be detached and reattached each time. However, the brake buddy is paid...

Re: Hurricane Harvey

Happy to hear that, Dallas, and hope you can stay in Quebec. Very strange weather, it is going into the 40's tonight in northern Michigan. As to the hurricane, we were just reflecting on how wonderful it is to have a rolling home to turn to in this situation. We would be gone or nearly so in our tru...

To all of our friends in Texas and Louisiana, be safe! Dallas, you pay attention too if you are home. This does not look good.

John, do you have a tank hot water heater or the instant on tankless version?

Re: Picked up my Royal Splendor

Congratulations, John! I was wondering what happened to your plans with the Born Free closure. We love our Ford 550 and you are right - it is a beast but drives and handles so much better than our 450 did. Just our humble opinion, no empirical evidence. Does it have a slide? Looking forward to the p...

Hi, Lia, just to be clear, I referred to a video produced by the manufacturer of the tankless hot water heater, not a Born Free video.
