Re: Deisel 6.0 or gas V10?

It's simple for me. Diesels cost more to purchase. General maintenance costs are more. In most states diesel is dramatically more expensive, though not where we are in Washington and Oregon. IN thos two states all forms of vehicle fuel is expensive. Most RVers drive very few miles in a year. The two...

Hidden Gems. Yesterday we went to the Whitney Nursery in Brinnon, WA located about 2 miles south of Port Townsend on Route 101. Though this is a commercial nursery, it specializes in Rhododendrons and is in the midst of a seven acre Rhododendron garden. Some are massive, higher than a two story buil...

Re: Newbie

Yesterday I added tire valve extenders to the front tires and have two rear tires left to do. Rhey are virtually identical to the ones I used on our Bounder motorhome. They attach firmly to the rim.

Re: Kudos to Born Free

All of the non-dealer RV's get a lot of tour requests. We kept track of the number of requests for tour of our 1991 Scamp 16 on our 310 day trip in it one year. We had over 100 requests for tours. One year we stopped at a grocery store in northern Maine. When we came out of the store there were two ...

Re: Refridgerators?

Our opening is about 21 x 48. we recently purchased our Born Free 21, moving from a 2 cubic foot fridge to the huge volume we have. We used that 2 cubic foot Fridge for about 8 years averaging over 250 days a year on the road. We learned to live without ice and buying more frequently. It worked just...

Jackknife Couch Sleeping.

Ginny and I sleep on the Jack Knife couch and find it comfortable. How Do others find it?

Our's have been re-upholstered and seems fine though in reading through material that came with the rig it appears they added a foam mattress to it.

Thank you

Ginny read through all the posts I've written and people respond to on the site. She found the person who owns the Born Free here in Chimacum. I'm now in my first park with two Born Frees. Progress

Re: Main circuit breaker intermittently tripping on 2003 RB

Unless something is really strange in the wiring, like 3 15 amp circuits having their white return wires tied together into a single white wire, I believe the heating comes from high contact resistance. Next time you have the problem you can feel the return white wire bus for heating. Basically the ...

Re: Main circuit breaker intermittently tripping on 2003 RB

Bounder Electrical Panel We bought a four year old Bounder. After owning it for about a year I opened the electrical panel and found discolored wires due to over heating. It turns out that it's relatively easy to get overheating. Copper wires, steel screws, possibly aluminum bus bars plus travel vib...

Tulips. I should have mentioned we went to Mount Vernon, WA for the Tulip Festival. It runs for the month of April. Acres of tulips, looking like a Van Gogh landscape, an acre of reds, yellows, purple, ... just amazing. Well worth the visit. If you time it right you can also see acres of daffodils. ...

First wedding of this trip done. Our grandson's wedding was well orchestrated, held in a great venue, a former Seattle Ferry docked on Lake Union with the Seattle skyline as a back drop, but it all was paled by the bride and groom. They really appear to really have it together and should make a grea...

Lake Pleasant, Bothell, WA

We're staying at Lake Pleasant RV In Bothell Washington, I believe the closest RV park to Seattle. This is a really nice RV park around two small ponds, a very nice park if you need to be in the area.
