Re: If you are Sun Bird how do you winterize your house?

Not a sun bird, but similar needs. Since we use our 1 year ago purchased beach area home occasionally through the winter, we drain the outside shower supply pipes, disconnect and drain the outside garden hoses. We keep the house heated to 50 degrees, in summer air conditioned to 88. Fortunately no p...

Re: 26 Rear bed - Garbage?

We hang grocery store plastic bags from the toilet paper roll holder, and transfer to a bigger bag as needed.

I have a Hobie i12s Kayak, it's a high pressure inflatable kayak, with the foot pedal Mirage drive system. It's a nice craft, I have taken it on the Chesapeake in a 1 to 2 foot chop, a bit wet in seas that big, but fun. It is really in its element on flat water. I got the sailing kit and bigger blad...

Using the dash air is more efficient if everyone is in the front of the motorhome. If you do run the roof air without the dash air, set the dash control to off to reduce the warm air flowing through the climate control system.

Re: Buying a new Born Free - Looking for advice

Anyone have experience with a tow vehicle for this model? Been looking for the lightest 4wd/AWD vehicles I can and they look to be between 3,000lbs curb weight up to 4,500lbs curb weight. If you can take the time to find a nice one, the Geo-Chevy-Suzuki Tracker is probably the lightest 4wd vehicle ...

. We now tether the PC to the Droid and use Netflix streaming, local station web sites and network websites. (This doesn't work well for sports fans). We also love to stream podcasts while driving. It works so much better than the radio and when we know we'll be out of service we download them ahea...

Mel & Connie, We met you both at the Gettysburg rally few years ago. You had by far the nicest coach I have ever had the chance to examine. Your many stories kept us entertained and intrigued. We wish you well in all your future endeavors, and sorry it never worked out to visit when we went to B...

Which Airprint app do you use? A search for "Air print app" brought up 45 choices on my I5phone.

If your older BF has a cassette, you can get an adapter that allows you to play TV or your phone's Pandora or similar through your dash stereo's cassette input. Easily available from Amazon. (Off topic slightly) If you play your phones GPS voice through the same cassette input adaptor, the direction...

The small compressor refrigerator I had in my sailboat would flatten a fully charged size 27 deep cycle battery in less than 24 hours. That is with the boat plugged in at the dock all week, batteries topped off, and the refrigerator and most of its contents pre-cooled to max cold, before dialing the...

I've been reading a thread about this. I'd be carrying a 300 lb cycle on a 100 lb hitch assembly. There is a guy who has done it " for years" I am taking his photos to the welder with me. I am learning from these threads to redistribute my stuff- more weight forward. Make the tire rail an...

First thing I would try is to call Kim Olson at the Born Free factory in Humboldt, IA. Phone: 800-247-1835 You might be surprised to find that they have the exterior decals for your coach still available. The BF factory had exact replacement vinyl stripes last month for my 2003 26 RSB. Bill recomme...
