Re: AC trips the main breaker after about an hour
is there a standard type of breaker? how would i know if the one i see on amazon will work? spec number or something? This one looks nearly identical except for the brand: https://www.amazon.com/Square-Schneider-Electric-HOMT3020-Single-Pole/dp/B008KNPAO0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1508181731&sr...

Re: AC trips the main breaker after about an hour
It's the main breaker that trips, not the A/C breaker. Obviously, it's a 30AMP breaker. I hookup up a clamp ammeter to the wire feeding the breaker and it peaked at 18AMPs but otherwise ran at about 16AMPs. I did notice that the wire was hot to the touch. I will look into getting a new breaker. No h...

AC trips the main breaker after about an hour
The overhead/house AC unit will trip the main (green) breaker on the breaker box after about 30-60 mins of running it on medium fan at about 80% max cold.
Nothing else is running in the rig except for the frig.
Any ideas?

Re: Convertor, I mean Frig
So now it doesn't trip any breakers. I have no idea how that 'fixed' itself, but still the frig still only works on Gas and the convertor still doesn't seem to be charging the house battery. Maybe the circuit breaker is shot...but I do get current to the outlet that the Frig is plugged into. ? I've ...

Re: Convertor, wait I mean Frig
Ahhh. Good point and you are correct. i unplugged the frig from the outlet located where you mentioned and kicked back on that breaker. All seems ok...other than the frig of course. no trippy breakers but I'll check to see if the convertor is charging the house batteries tomorrow morning. So now the...

Convertor, I mean Frig
The Frig and the Converter are on the same circuit. I know this only because it is labeled so on the circuit panel. :) Anyway, this circuit breaker, if on. will trip the GFCI under the vanity sink AND trip the shore power circuit breaker the rig is plugged into as well. (make sense?) So, if I turn t...

RV Rental?
Has anyone had any experience in renting their motorhome? It could be a BF or other. Via an agency or self-rented.
I'm considering purchasing a new model and renting it out. Much more research to do of course but I thought I'd solicit opinions from my fellow BFers.
Thanks!

Lockhart State Park (Near Austin/San Antonio)
Small but nice. a great stop over if you are in the Austin/San Antonio area but would rather stay on the outskirts.

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
Good point. Fortunately, I've never had my 12v go out on me but I did have 1 of my 6v go out...and I was SOL until I replaced it.

Re: Air Tabs?
Agreed. without a true baseline and a controlled environment, any results are always non-scientific. I certainly wouldn't run out and buy these looking for a MPG increase but the stability issues were certainly notable and that seems to be a trend with all the user feedbacks I have seen before and a...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
I always figured that 2x12v were a good option because if one goes out/bad for some reason, at least you can function on the other one.
My 2 cents

Re: Air Tabs?
Just following up on my own post about air tabs from a while back. I took a 2200 mile round trip from Texas to Des Moines and back with some excursions (Went to Humbolt). We averaged 8.55 MPG. This is the most I have every seen on an extended trip. This included pulling a toad for the first time. We...
