Bill, I agree about dirty oil, but I left a lot out of my post, I use the best filters I can find and if the oil is dirty, just change the filter and top up (kinda messy), there are also quite a number of companies that do oil analysis: http://www.oillab.com/bestoil.html so if someone was really wor...

Jos,
Yes, MotoSat shipped me that unit originally, but it is not compatible with Dish network.
I think it is a very well built unit. Did you get the Nomad 2 controller?
We are headed to the rally in Ouray,CO. in a couple of days and I will get a chance to give it a real test.

Larry, As I stated in a previous post, I'm partial to RedLine Oil products http://www.redlineoil.com/products_gearlubricants.asp I have to drive to Seattle,WA. to get them as they are not available here in Sequim. You can do a search for dealers on their website. You still need to "break in&quo...

Hi Bill, I guess if you are only driving it a short distance a once a year oil change is fine. I'm running the same oil in my jeep but only because I can't reach the filter and I let the dealer change it and then I run about 6K miles. I have found that Castrol Syntec is really not a true synthetic i...

oil change intervals

I run a synthetic oil in my 2005 24RB BF with V10 (E450). I use Red Line synthetic oil: http://www.redlineoil.com/products_motoroil.asp?pvID=107&prodID=45&subcatID=14 and I use the Mobil 1 oil filter (also synthetic) I plan on running it about 12,000 miles before I change the oil, eventually...

Satellite Dish install for TV

If anyone is interested I just completed a MotoSat Satellite Dish install on our 2005 24RB Born Free, it is posted in the Coach Modifications area. We have Dish network and didn't have much luck with our Delta "rabbit ears" antenna last year in Arizona and we received NO signal at the Quar...

Hans, I have been contemplating where to install a satellite dish, I'm thinking of installing a Moto-Sat DM500 dish on the rear of our 24RB, behind the air conditioner, I contaced Kim Olson at BF for their recommendation about placement and here is what he said: The cable type is RG6 SLD copper CTR,...

Water Heater

David & Susan, We have a 2005 24RB with a Suburban SW6D water heater, I just replaced the anode yesterday, it was about 50% gone. I had to use a 4 foot breaker bar on a 1 1/16th" socket, the size is 3/4"X14T (NPT pipe thread) to break it loose. We haven't used our rig much till I retir...
