The fittings on our interior and exterior showerheads cracked during our first winter. We also ordered replacements, and Kim Olsen suggested that we loosen the fittings when winterizing. That relieves the pressure on the fittings in case there is any moisture in the grooves. After doing that, we nev...

Slide outs would be great, as long as they wouldn't interfere with the integrity of the coach's high quality construction. Unfortunately, you won't see swivel cab seats in a US made chassis used for a motorhome . . . unless regulations are changed. Some years ago, the US government, in it's infinite...

There have been fulltimers in 24ft and 26ft Born Frees. I know one such couple that fulltimed for several years in a 24ft Rear Side Bed Born Free. Several years ago, they settled down in Idaho and eventually ended their RV travels. Hopefully, those who may be fulltiming in Born Frees will respond to...

Kim Olsen at Born Free told us that some 24RB owners have converted the rear outside storage area (located under the lavatory sink cabinet) into enclosed litterbox storage. They have an opening and/or a flap door installed on the interior side of the cabinet for the cat's access. They get to the lit...

Where do you keep the litterbox? When we had our Sea Breeze, we removed one of the doors on a cabinet below the bench seat in the dinette -- worked beautifully! Fortunately, we rarely had odors . . . :) Where to keep the litterbox in a Born Free may depend on the floorplan/model. We had the 24RB mo...

Only if you allow the cat up on the furniture. Bill Dogs have masters. Cats have staff. And no self-respecting cat "allows" a human to determine what it can and cannot do. :D Our cat's front paws are declawed, so we never have the problem of having furniture being clawed, but her re...

We so glad that the Balloon Fiesta rally was enjoyed by all. I know that Gary and Loretta worked really hard to make it a success. Ken and I really enjoyed meeting and talking with some of the group when we dropped by the rally site and tent on Friday evening. It was fun to finally put faces to the ...

We may have seen other Born Frees because there are many RVers that travel through New Mexico. It's always fun to see a Born Free, because it's such a unique, aerodynamic and stylish coach. And we need to get out on the road more often, as well. Because of circumstances beyond our control, we haven'...

That's very surprising. We've seen several other Born Frees . . . not counting rallies . . . during the years we owned our Born Free. We always took the opportunities to talk with the owners, but none were members of Leap'n Lions. Here in New Mexico, we've seen lots of Born Frees on the highways, an...

I never liked to use that light because it's so bright, and I was worried that it might be distracting to the "chauffeur". . . Ken. So, I used a little flashlight that has a swivel head along with a clothes pin type clip, and I clipped it to the viser. I could aim the head of that little g...

What a cute idea to put the "food towns" with their states in a menu. Gotta admit that I completely missed the point. DUH!!
