My memory is a bit hazy, but I believe I used Rotella 15W-40 in the 2001 BGE. If Onan does recommend 15W-40 it is a particularly good choice since anti wear additive is at higher level than for passenger car oils. Hopefully somebody else knows or remembers more.

Re: Norcold LP/AC/DC refrigerator "cool" not cold?
Brent, I would have opted for another 23RK if they still made that model. As it turns out, wife is very pleased with 24RB shower so that makes it a winner. Her handi-cap chair fits in there nicely. As a matter of fact the 24RB is sort of for sale, at least I have sign on rear, although we are contin...

Re: Norcold LP/AC/DC refrigerator "cool" not cold?
Brent, An obstruction in air flow up and out refrig. vent on roof will not allow frig. to cool properly. You may need a mirror for this, depending on how large your head is! Look up from bottom then go on roof and check for bird nest or whatever around vent. While you are at it, clean dust off the &...

Re: Norcold LP/AC/DC refrigerator "cool" not cold?
Kevin, Check refrigerator stack and air outlet area for obstructions. I would run frig on propane when not hooked up to 110. The 12 V option was always weak on my 2001 which may have had same frig. Tires must be load rating E and run them at 75-80 psi cold until you weigh the vehicle. Replacement du...

Re: Does BF otside fiberglass change collor
IMO, the quick answer is yes. Several years back I had a discussion with the then president of Dodgen Industries about the subject and their recognition of same. Actually, the yellowing is a result of UV acting on the gel-coat and the chemistry of materials in the gel-coat is anything but simple. At...

Re: Lights under coach
There are those who believe lights below will deter rodents, at least that is belief in Southwest deserts. Often hoods will be left open or ajar in anticipation that seeing thy sky will deter nesting, chewing in engine compartment. I buy into the latter, but am agnostic concerning the former.

Look at owners manual. May be trying to tell you pads are worn.

Re: 5 Star Tuning...my 2 cents
I do not want to start a debate here, but FOMOCO does know about their vehicle and it's design. Think about cooling and lubricating systems for engine, transmission, even rear axle design. Also think about catalyst system design and how that can fail beyond just not meeting emission limits. You migh...

Re: Please Help Me wire my Battery Monitor
Steve, I didn't read all this, but I added knife switch in meter circuit to keep the meter from possibly having a small battery drain when in storage. There are obviously some smart electricians here and I would try to find somebody as smart to do the install. Beyond whatever vagaries may exist betw...

Re: 4 down vs. tow dolly: another titilating toad towing tal
Roger, I am in opposite position having flat towed for probably 100,000 miles and just getting started with Acme dolly. It is a learning experience here also and there have been some bumps in the road first 600 miles. Leaving now for 2000 miles or so and after that all should begin to feel routine. ...

Motorhome Sales Volumes
RVNET blog had alleged correct Motorhome sales for the past couple of years. I was quite surprised at sales reported for Dodgen and Lazy Daze. 2015 2014 BF 18 35 LD 11 22 The 3 big guys had sales in 5000-10000 range. I make no pretense of defending accuracy here. "You can believe it, if it is o...

Re: Door freezes shut/ hard to open
Steve, We probably have the same Dometic refrigerator and I have been underwhelmed with the plastic trim around the door and the plastic latches. When everything is cold, stuff can get loose, or tight, or whatever. I just sort of move everything around and it will loosen up and be OK for awhile. For...

Dallas,
Good point. However, I think I'll still not have rears rotated, even for free. IMO risks of uneven wear back there are minimal anyway.

I have front's switched every 10,000 miles or so but leave rears as is. Borg valve stems would complicate the process anyway.

Re: Tow Dolly Question for Engineers
Roger, I am complete novice here, but had long conversation with Acme shop foreman concerning proper location of cross straps on wheel. Video seems to show them at about 1 o'clock, 11 and 9 viewed facing right side of car. That is not what I understood from our discussion, but will assume arrangemen...
