Re: It's raining, it's pouring, the skylight window is leak

Bonnie, I ended up ordering the tape. Should be here tomorrow, but won't put it on for a week. I thought about sealant, and there are some really good ones, but ultimately from I've read on this and other forums this stuff works incredibly well. If you take your time and do a good job it looks good ...

Re: It's raining, it's pouring, the skylight window is leak

I'll be checking every seam. I'm suprised they used silicone, but as I did a quick but not complete check today I could see silicone used everywhere it seems. I know the PO kept the maintaince up religiously, so I'm hoping the window is the only problem right now.

Re: It's raining, it's pouring, the skylight window is leak

I have an issue with the login here. At least 4 times in the last 2 days I've logged in, made a comment and then it directs me to login again. The post is lost and I have to login again and hope I remain logged in. Just happened twice in a row just now. Anyway, I'm going to do the Eternabond tape me...

Re: It's raining, it's pouring, the skylight window is leak

Any updates on the Eternabond and how it's lasting? I was also looking at Geocel products. When ever I see a picture of the OH Bed Window on the older BFs, I always think what a great place for a Solar Panel in place of the window. Just my dumb idea.. You're right it is the perfect spot...

It's raining, it's pouring, the skylight window is leaking

It's not as bad as sounds. Last year zero leaks, over the Winter the coach was in covered storage so no leaks. We just brought it back last Saturday and we managed to get approx 12 inches of snow in 3 short storms and it all melted quickly. Today as I checked everything out one last time and as I pr...

Re: 5 Star Tuning...my 2 cents

I have a question. Does this require using a higher octane fuel when installed?

Heat strip

How much heat should the heat strip put out? Tried it for the first time today with the temp inside and outside 28 degrees. After a couple of minutes I could feel some warmth but not much. Not sure if this is normal or not. I know the primary heat source is the furnace but was hoping this would work...

Re: Have you seen this!

I agree it is a money pit. I sent the seller a message and from his response I think he's trying to flip it fast. Tires are from 1991, etc. I still thought it was unique since I've never even seen a recent picture of one and never seen one in person. Going through early withdrawl with the prospect o...

Have you seen this!

OMG, I knew these existed but never saw one. I'm interested because there is a 50% chance we are moving to Hawaii for work relocation and our 24RB would have to be sold, but this could work (maybe) in HI, but maybe not. Anyway, enjoy! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-250-camper-Special-/371568361341?f...

Re: Is this a covered up window?

It looks very good. We still have the window on our 2002, and between us, and the original owner there has never been any leakage. Is leakage common? Our weather stripping is still in nice flexible shape, probably due to the original owner keeping it indoors. We really like the added light and view ...

Re: leaf spring shock absorbers

I have no clue if these are worth it for an RV, but the important thing to notice in the description is it's supposed to improve the ride quality of an UNLOADED pickup truck. It mentions that it might help a loaded truck as well. Might help is key. I would prefer not to mess with springs or spring s...

Re: Swing away table

I was also looking at the Lagun table on eBay. I've been looking for alternatives for the last couple of weeks, but haven't really found anything. I also haven't found a source in North America. I'm shipping some British car parts from England in the next week and was going to try and include a tabl...
