NADA BOOK VALUE VS MARKET VALUE

Greetings, It has been some time since I have posted, been so dang busy and all, fending off the pressures of life, I haven't had much time to ponder for myself. Think I had super delegateitis. This old yankee is trying to get educated enough to buy his third Born Free, most likely a 24'rear bath w/...

Martin & Strings, What you have received is all good advise, however in the short run you need to do something quick. Born Free utilizes a marine (boat) shore tie cable. These can be purchased at any marine hardware store. Or you can make up a cable by visiting your local electrical supply store...

Dallas,
At least with New Hampshire pine tree sap this worked great for me over many years. DENATURED ALCOHOL found in a paint store. Colman fuel will do the same thing. Wet a rag and rub the sap, soon it will soften and disappear. George B

Jim & Lana, Well, by now you have had your appointment with ford, so I may be a little late sharing what I know. Having spent over $2,000 in an attempt to cure the braking problem on my 1997 24'RB, I feel I am an expert on the subject. These model year(s) ford chassis are flawed in their braking...

Passports for Born Freers

The first of the year is just around the corner and we are faced with a deadline for passports for Canadian travel in 2008. The club is offering rallies in Canada this coming year and may do so again in 2009. Getting a passport takes time so, if you are planning Canadian travels, you may want to sta...

There is nothing planned for the club to host a ballon rally this coming year. However if you have a desire to be the host we certainly could offer it. Hi Larry, George Boley here. I suspect the problem might be the calipers are sticking and not releasing the pads as quick as they should. This would heat the rotors warping them. I am assuming they cleaned the slides when they put the new pads in, if not this could also hang up the pads heating the ...

Hi Sue, You pose an interesting question, I think it has a lot to do a lot with one's comfort level. I have a friend who tries to buy cars that have atleast 125,000 miles on them. Myself, I look for vehicles that have just under 100,000. In both cases we recognize that public perception that vechicl...

Jim---Do you think someone may have put the wrong antifreeze in your unit at some time? I know that Cat (Diesel) requires a special antifreeze that absorbs the diesel shock from each piston explosion. Without it the cylinder liners get pitted and leak. I wonder if it could impact cores. NOTE:The ant...
