Re: Awning problem
It might make sense to research this on other RB sites like Airstream or Winnebago? Our install cannot be unique.

Re: Refrigerator on propane or using an inverter to provide
Just seems to me that running down the highway literally inches from 18 wheelers who may have to hook a turn at any moment with a naked flame burning - is not preferable.

Re: Kwikee step question
Yes, expensive but given how few are sold, not surprisingly they will only get more costly. Also surprisingly unrobust

Re: Kwikee step question
My guess is the Controller has failed. Available on Amazon and its nearly plug and play but only if your installation allows you to remove it without having to remove the motor. While on Amazon buy the test pigtail. The p/n is in the manual.

Re: Navigation system in Freedom
Just came upon this thread. I am glad it's sorted out. I do want to add my shared lack of happiness with this unit on my 14 Triumph Royal. Most especially the stupid tiny size of the sub menu display buttons that render many functions unusable by the driver. There is a remote control available which...

Re: Towing capacity
For what its worth, I am towing 10,500 # with a 2014 Triumph using distribution bars and a 1200# hitch weight with no issues. F550 PDS chassis.

Re: Kwikee step question
Thanks for the encouragement. I guess the owners of the newer units must be relying on the professional services businesses for their support. Just as most of the Class A 's have to. I find it challenging to relate the various installation instructions to the methods the BF factory used with conceal...

Re: No electric blinds working
I discovered the manufacturer after inspecting each but only one showed the label. So I downloaded the owners Manual which shows a programming button. However upon inspecting all 4 of mine, there is no evidence that there is such a thing which leads me to conclude their switching is done by the Fire...

Re: No electric blinds working
THANK YOU, THANK YOU. That worked. I had visions of going to programming school. For the forum, the shades will disconnect in a low voltage environment, and the reset is to restore the voltage and then recycle the 12v and 110 volt systems for a minute.

No electric blinds working
Does anyone know the manufacturer of the electric blinds installed in the newer coaches? Mine have all gone off line because of a low voltage condition and have to be reprogrammed. I did not receive any intel about them of the Firefly remote when I bought the coach.

Re: Kwikee step question
Seems I must be the only BF owner whose Kwikee steps have failed and is still on this dying forum. Anyway for the record, I emailed the company and they sent me a new Controller and Motor. Turned out the motor had failed and the installation instructions are wrong, More than likely the motor install...

Re: Kwikee step question
FWIW, ours got stuck in the open position also. I was lucky. Oiled all moving parts, hit some parts that can move, with a hammer. It worked. Something broke loose such that it works. Bottom line for us-oil it. Miles
Did not try the hammer bit but had oiled it well a...

Re: Kwikee step question
The discovery process continues. The pantry has 3 slides for each shelf and there is no obvious way to remove it. However the Step switch is removable after removing the plastic chrome covers. Attached to the switch is a clearly marked 5 amp step fuse and mine was unbroken. so its back to the test p...

Re: Kwikee step question
I have discovered in the small print of the OM for the Kwikee, there could be as many as 3 fuses; and from the IRV web site that one may be behind the step function switch on the entrance wall. That means removing the pantry slide. There do not seem to be any release catches to remove it from its sl...

Kwikee step question
My 2014 Triumph has a Kwikee step which seems to have failed in mid-cycle. The woners manual says it should have an inline fuse but I cannot see anything looking like a fuse in the melee of cables in the vicinty. Does anyone know where BF installed the fuse for these things? This is my second failur...
