Re: Towing capacity 24RB 2005

When I purchased my 2005 coach in 2010 I rigged it up to haul my 250cc Kawasaki motorcycle on a ramp. Combined weight of bike and ramp was about 400 lbs. The hitch is rated for 500 lb tongue weight. The framework for the bumper is very robust and this attaches to the truck frame. After checking how ...

Re: Air ride air bag leak

For your hitch you need a dropped ball mount. Your tow bar should be level when hitched up. I'm using one with a 10" drop. Here's some available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=drop+hitch&crid=1IDGGZSBZ47MY&sprefix=drop+hitch%2Caps%2C207&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 This one has an 8"...

Re: Pivoting Table Information

I'm not familiar with your layout, but consider getting a Lagun table system. Here's a link to a thread:

Re: What do you think of a 100 Watt Solar on my Dash?

You would definitely lose some power. Here's a link to a thread: https://vanlivingforum.com/threads/%E2%9C%85how-much-power-is-lost-with-solar-panel-placed-inside-cars-windshield.44785/ You will need to park with the front of the coach facing south. Also make sure that there is power at the socket w...

Re: Air ride air bag leak

My '05 has Firestone bags and they work well. I had an upper bracket break and it wasn't too bad of a job removing it and welding the bracket. I would suggest replacing the bag. Springs do sag after several years. I replaced my shocks two years ago and went with Bilstein on the front and Monroe 5550...

Re: ~36" under coach sewer pipe storage (want to replace hose in it)

I used a section of vinyl 5" square fence post and a length of vinyl gutter. The gutter makes a nice pull-out tray. I used a router to cut out the end to act like a spring to clip the end cap on. The 2013 is much different so you would have to figure out a different way of mounting it. https://...

Re: Antenna

The wedges are a great idea but it appears that the ceiling wedges may not be installed correctly. You have a big gap on one side. I think that the wedges need to be rotated 180 degrees. I did not use any wedges on my installation and it seems to work fine.

Re: Onan generator cutting out in hot weather

I see from a previous post that you have a 2015 Born Free Freedom. I'm not familiar with your generator but some Onans will issue a fault code when problems arise. I think you have to look on the generator to check this. If the generator is overheating, opening the compartment door may help.

Re: Roll bar cover

On my '05 the cover is held in place by two fasteners which are covered by plastic buttons. You can pry the button off with something like a butter knife. It appears that the fastener has a phillips head.

Re: Antenna

I installed my Sensar IV on Oct 2010 and have had no leaks. I have also tried the Jack and it is a good antenna but not quite as good as the Sensar. I boondock virtually 100% and quite often in fringe areas for TV. The Jack isn't quite up to snuff.

Re: Catalytic Converter Stolen

The same happened to me last fall right in my driveway. I have insurance but is $500 deductible. The OEM converter is available in my area to the tune of $3000 plus parts and labor. I was getting ready to hit the road and head for Florida so rather than wait I opted to bypass the converter with a se...

Re: Antenna

The Delta antenna is pretty much a glorified rabbit ears and probably the worst antenna for an RV. The Winegard Sensar IV (aka "Batwing") is considered one of the the best RV antennas. https://i.imgur.com/wwSLB4O.jpg?1 Some things to keep in mind: The Sensar IV has a built-in amplifier and...

Re: New to site and my rv, using external generator, tips

To use a Honda generator you will need a 15 amp to 30 amp adapter. I suggest using one that has a 90 degree 15 amp plug. this will put less strain on the generator socket. Here's a couple types available: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRzUSQP81K5Nt9gEpluoLZs5DhmkwKc6hFSvw&...
