Re: RV Newbie got really lucky. Plenty of questions.

I do as Bill suggested and can run my coach fine on 20 amp. You may want to switch your fridge to propane since it will consume about 3 amps when on 120 volt.

Re: Leak??

That's a steel plate with bolts that go through the subfloor. You obviously have a plumbing leak. Make sure all your fittings are tight. Sometimes it's difficult to find where the water is coming from. Water can travel along pipes or tubing for quite some distance.

Re: Pantry slide not latching

When the latch first failed I installed a magnetic catch. I then got the latch to work by bending a tab on the slide and then removed the magnetic catch. When the latch failed again I reinstalled the magnetic catch.

Re: Pantry slide not latching

Well, my latch failed again so I reinstalled the magnet. Bent the aforementioned tab every-which way to no avail.

Re: Tightening The Sewer Hose Container Cap

That's a simple solution, but do you have to loosen the hose clamp every time to remove the cap? When I munched my container I replaced it with a section of 5" vinyl fence post. Also a section of vinyl gutter acts as a slide out tray. https://i.imgur.com/vvkEQAl.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/HJBXKb...

I've only watched a few of his posts so I don't know what his favorite is. I'll leave that job for you.

Re: Costco has Lithium battery for $700 shipped

$700 is a great price. Last spring I purchased a 170ah Renogy from Walmart for $980. This would be the equivalent of $605 for 105ah. I think Walmart screwed up because shortly after my purchase the price went up to $1400. So far the Renogy is working great. Here's a link to a YouTube post by Will Pr...

I mounted a junction box that comes through the side just behind the microwave.

This photo was taken before I mounted the panel on the roof. Those wires are also routed through this box.

Re: Easy Solar Panel Mount

Nice approach, but one issue is that you no longer have a pathway to the front of the roof. I attached a single panel running front to back on the passenger side of the roof rack using hose clamps. This leaves a pathway on the driver side. I have two more panels attached to the side of my coach. htt...

I can't view your images. I suspect they are too large. Photos should be no more than 720 pixels wide.

Re: Pantry slide not latching

I tried your trick but no luck. This prompted a more thorough investigation. I found that there is a tab on the stationary part of the slide that got bent in. Prying it out did the trick.

Re: Using shore power to charge house batteries during stora

If the folks at Firefly said it needs a 30 amp connection to charge a battery there is probably some reason for that. The Firefly system is a remote control and monitoring system. It can turn on and off several devices. The Firefly system would use very little power. It's the devices that it contro...

Re: Using shore power to charge house batteries during stora

Interesting that Firefly says that you need a 30 amp connection for the outback inverter to charge the batteries. Always seem to have a problem getting my batteries fully charged when about to leave on a trip and now I know why. Guess I will have to install a 30 amp plug on the house or use an acce...

Re: Using shore power to charge house batteries during stora

AGM batteries have a very low self-discharge rate. I suggest that you make sure your batteries are fully charged then disconnect the negative battery cable. This will make absolutely sure that nothing will be powered. Even after a year your batteries would be at least 75% charged. Of course if you n...
